DISCLAIMER! Again, this isn't a super detailed tutorial. It's the basics. NOTE: I tried taking out the swears once, but they came back. I don't know how. I'm trying this again.

What do you want now? You already bothered me about making a build, so now what?
What? A skin? Oh, so having your very own house/city/I don't honestly care wasn't enough, now you need a homemade skin? Not that I blame you. I have one, and it's pretty awesome. Ugh, I guess I kind of have to help you now, don't I? Fine. Here we go.

Step One: You don't KNOW what you want the skin to be of?!
Really, again?! I thought we were past the whole 'I need ideas' part! I'm a writer, not an idea-o-tron! Anyways, think up an idea, and come back. Personally, I like human skins, so that's what this tutorial will be about. I did try to make a robot skin once, but it was really bad, so yeah. (Just saying, you can still use this guide for, for example, clothes and hair.) Seriously, though. Get an idea before you start.

Step Two: Get ready for your mug shot.
I usually start with the head, but that's just personal preference. If you want to start with the torso or the legs, be my guest. But anyways, what I do is I decide on a skin tone and hair color(more about hair later), and then put in eyes, eyelashes, etc. ONE TIP. Do NOT try to put in a nose. See all those skins out there without noses? There's a reason for that. Skins with noses tend to be, well, ugly. If you want to try, go ahead, try. But don't expect it to turn out looking like a supermodel.

Step Three: Anti-nudist revolution.
That's right. Know all those rules that say 'no offensive skins'? That means you can't be nekkid. This also means no putting swastikas or anything like that on there, because that's just offensive. Anyways, I usually start with the shirt. Putting a collar in is optional, of course, but hey, it looks nicer to me. If you want a jacket(aka overlays, thank you Mojang), put that on too. Speaking of overlays, if you want bangs or headphones or a beanie(because beanies are all the rage for Notch-knows-why), put those on the head overlay. Next is pants, because nobody wants to see your junk. It doesn't matter if it's you or Brad Pitt, ain't nobody got time for that. Put some undies on(or at least, that's what I do for the first layer)and put pants and shoes in the overlay. It works well for me, at least.

Step Four: Hair.
Hair is arguably the hardest part, but hey, it's either that or go bald, so yeah. For girls, you'll usually want the hair flowing down the back and on the front of the shirt/jacket. I usually put hair on both layers of the torso so it'll look nice even if you take your jacket off. As for shading, some apps can do it for you, like the Seus skin maker that I use. It's pretty sweet. Also, for boys, people mostly chop it short, showing skin on the sides and back of the head, usually 1 or 2 pixels high. That should about do it for the actual skin-making process. Last step is...

Step Five: Upload it, and hope people don't laugh.
If they do laugh, either you did it wrong or your pants overlay isn't showing. (It's happened to me before. Not fun. Having your pants overlay not showing is the equivalent of walking through your school hallways not realizing your pants are around your ankles.) Most skin apps let you upload it from the app; if not, you'll need to save it as an image and go directly to the Mojang site. It has instructions there, so I'm not going to go into much detail. OH! Be sure to pick the right player model, either 3 pixel arms or 4 pixel arms. That's about it!

Thanks for reading this short guide! Like it? Leave a diamond and maybe a favorite! Didn't like it? Do it anyways~! See you guys later!
