Hey guys, this will be the first story I've created.

It is the year 2589, and the Sun has already given up, turning into a red giant. On the fateful day of July 18th, in Ashokatropia, when people and their robots relaxed on the beach, kids playing basketball, and teenagers skating down the streets with their hoverboards, making elderly people in red and white suits with hologram canes yell "GET OFF MY LAWN!"

It was such a nice day, that no one noticed the sun's color, of all things. Except for 13 year old Jacob Hoovers, everyone was too busy enjoying the nice weather.  Jacob did not like relaxing, nor go outside. He generally played on his Xbox 260023x, the best video game console, or playing on his ultracomputer. He was playing a free game he downloaded, not realising it was a virus.
Avast went off, "DODODO! THREAT HAS BEEN DETECTED!"

Jacob almost fell of his chair, and removed the virus. Something in his mind told him to go onto the weather website, and there he saw it.

"WARNING! THE SUN IS TURNING INTO A RED GIANT. MASSIVE FIRES EXPECTED. TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY!"

Jacob screamed, and ran outside. The sun was almost 5 times as large, and he noticed redness all over it. Jacob heard a crackling sound, and saw that nearby trees and plants were catching fire! Jacob ran inside, and took shelter, and just in time. One of the telephone poles in front of his house broke in half, crashing into the roof, and exposing dangerous heat inside. Power failed across the city, and everything on the second floor of Jacob's house burst into flame. In seconds, Jacob's house was an inferno, nearby skyscrapers crumbled and collapsed, all the water disappeared and all that was left of trees were bare charred trunks.

1 hour later, and the chaos was done. All that remained of Ashokatropia was rubble, charred houses, and the occasional remaining 19 to 30 floors of a skyscraper that used to be 80. Almost no one survived. Those who remained sought out rescue. Jacob woke up later, and saw that he escaped with no injuries. He ran outside, where he saw the destruction, though it was hard to see due to the huge cloud of smoke and the fact that the sun completely stopped glowing.

Jacob saw the old road that lead to the city of DiggerTyPolis, which had a special aura that protected it from any harm, but it couldn't be entered without a special portal in a rare pyramid. Jacob went down the road, in hopes of finding one.

3 days later, Jacob was near death. He was parched, and he had limited food. "This is it," Jacob thought. "I am going to die here, and there is no one and there was no one who will care."

All of a sudden, like angels coming from the sky, he saw a light. A beacon light. This could only mean one thing....

It was a portal pyramid.

Jacob did a victory yell, and went as fast as he could to the pyramid, and fell into the portal.

The teleportation felt weird to Jacob, as he had never felt it before. It felt like a mix of wetness, and wind blowing on him. All he could see was purple and green swirls, then everything went black.

"Wake up." "Wake UP young sir" "I SAID WAKE UP!!!!"

Jacob woke with a startle, and saw a man in his 60's looking down at him, as well as someone that looked vaguely like a pokemon trainer. "WHA!" yelled Jacob. "WHERE AM I?!"

"You are in DiggerTyPolis, the paradise city." Said the older man.
The trainer also spoke up. "You had a pretty darn hard fall there, we saw you falling from the sky from a portal while we were making another skyscraper, and luckily you fell in Lake Old. We got you out, and here you are. By the way, the name's DiggerGuy68, and that is Oldscroat." he pointed to the older man.

Jacob was baffled. Digger and Old were real?! He thought they were only legends. But this was real.

And so, Jacob survived, but if it wasn't for the portal, everyone would have died.
