Fish's Chronicles is a book series I'm writing okay yeah read down there

Fish and his friends unhurriedly strolled into the damp swamp town on the look for Willow. "It smells horrid," Eclipse grunted. Fish watched Eclipse's scales perk up with the shift in her mood. Jamamak looked out into the murky water of the foggy swampland while Freezerburn watched him. Fish exhaled sharply out his nose; The smell didn't bother him, but Eclipse's complaining sure did.

A thick, scaled tail struck the water near them. Jamamak stepped back and shook off the water that splashed onto his snout. Fish heard a faint hiss from the marsh water beside them. He looked around and witnessed that they were all surrounded by powerful Tailigators, and these Tailigators were mad. Eclipse leaned back onto her bulky hind legs and defensively lifted her wings while Fish stiffened his body and lowered his head, revealing his teeth. Freezerburn and Jamamak both opened their mouths, readying their acid spit. All stood in an observant position, forewarning of an attack.

"Who are you?" One of the Tailigators asked as he lifted his body from the water. Fish's eyes widened as he began to shake. The creature in front of him was a lot larger than himself. Fish shrank into Eclipse's side, trying not to cower away. Eclipse lowered one of her wings around Fish, trying to make him feel safer. Fish watched the beast's brown, striped, and impervious fur drip of water.

Two more Tailigators raised themselves out of the water. Fish watched them. They were both green with orange striped patterns; They were both on either side of the brown one. "I am once again asking," The brown Tailigator hissed. "Who in the waterlogged forests are you?" Eclipse growled loudly, and Freezerburn and Jamamak did the same.

Fish was intimidated by the four eyes on each creature. The brown one was the largest out of the three. Did this mean something? Fish wondered. Did size change the hierarchy of these animals in their kingdom? Are they all different ages? Or are they all just different sizes? Was their queen the largest? Fish realized he was in deep thought and blinked his eyes rapidly to bring himself back to reality.

"We're looking for Willow," Jamamak was explaining. The three Tailigators glanced at each other and then back to the four. "Why would you ought to see our queen?" The brown Tailigator questioned with a robust, angry-sounding voice. Fish, Eclipse, Freezerburn, and Jamamak glimpsed at each other; They knew they shouldn't tell the Tailigators the truth.
"We're merchants," Freezerburn said, "We sell rare goods." Fish knew what Freezerburn said wasn't the most promising idea, though it was more reasonable than anything he could rummage up in his noggin. "Is so?" The brown Tailigator asked, "What do you sell?" Fish could see Freezerburn was nervous. He didn't know what they'd be capable of selling.

"We sell weapons," Eclipse tuned in. She seized her combat axe from her sheath, drawing it out to display to them as she tapped Fish's lower leg with her lengthy, whip-like tail. Fish looked baffled, then realized what Eclipse wanted as he drew out his trident. The Tailigators looked stunned by the large weapons, "We can bring you to our merchant hut," The brown Tailigator barked in a happyish-sounding tone, though his voice still sounded coarse. Fish and Eclipse arranged their weapons back into their sheaths. "Follow," The brown Tailigator said, stepping around them and supposedly leading to the merchants' hut. The four followed, and the two green Tailigators trekked behind them. They passed by numerous Tailigators on their route.

They all made it into the merchant hut. "How much are you trading that axe for?" The brown Tailigator challenged, staring directly at Eclipse. She looked tense, trying to come up with something quickly. They didn't want to sell their weapons to the Tailigators; It was only a method for them to be allowed into the Swamp Kingdom. "We want to offer them to your queen first," Fish stated. The brown Tailigator quickly looked over at a silvery-white Tailigator, "Jackie," He called out soon after. The silvery Tailigator, Jackie, set down a clay pot she was holding, "Yes, Mire?" She asked as she turned to the brown Tailigator.

"Reckon you'd go fetch the queen for me?" The brown Tailigator, Mire, ordered Jackie. Jackie nodded, grunting softly in insistence; She departed from the hut to bring their queen to the four. Mire turned to Eclipse again. "So, how much are you offering the axe for?" He voiced. Eclipse got tense, as she did before. Fish exhaled forcefully out his nose, "We're not offering the weapons to you," Fish told Mire once again. Mire looked at Fish, "You could at least give me an idea of the cost," The large brown Tailigator snarled, "What is the axe made of?"
Freezerburn and Jamamak decided to help Fish and Eclipse to warn off Mire's foolish questions. "Like we'd tell you," Jamamak hissed. Mire looked infuriated.

Jackie finally returned with Queen Willow. Fish glimpsed at Willow, and surprisingly, she was tiny, and it made Fish reconsider what he thought before. The Tailigator's queen wasn't the largest in the kingdom, so sure, size didn't alter their ranking. All Fish comprehended was that the larger Tailigators were the most frightening. "Mire, hush up your growling," Willow snapped. Instantly Mire stopped talking, turned around, and bowed to his queen. In fact, all the Tailigators in the merchant hut bowed to Willow at this moment. Willow rolled her four eyes at all the Tailigators and looked up to Fish, Eclipse, Freezerburn and Jamamak. "Don't worry," Willow said calmly, with a soft smile, "You four don't have to bow."

Willow had a white coat of fur, almost like a light purple. She had golden-yellow stripes and more of an orange tint for her spots. The scales covering her face and tail were bright white. Unlike other queens, Willow's ears didn't have a single piercing. The only piercing she had was a small nose piercing. It was a golden hoop, though it looked like silver coated with gold pigment. Willow had four ruby necklaces and a silver crown sheathed in gold that held four rubies with a larger ruby in the middle of them. She had tiny golden freckles on her face and four stunning blue eyes with elongated pupils. Fish knew she was one of the younger queens.

Three Tailigators left the hut for the night, leaving only Jackie, Mire, and their queen with the four. Their plan was not going very well, Fish thought. They would probably have to sell their weapons now to keep this going. Fish knew they'd be able to get them back at some point. "So," Willow spoke, "What do you have to sell?" Fish and Eclipse pulled out their weapons to display as Willow walked closer. Willow looked at both weapons closely. She seemed to like both of them. "How much?" She asked with a gentle voice. Eclipse took a deep breath, "Thirty-two silver for the trident and fifty-seven silver for the axe," She answered Willow, sounding like she was in a rush. Eclipse appeared to be thinking about the price for a while, considering Fish had no idea how much the weapons were worth.

Willow seemed to reach for something, "Oh, swamp water," Willow swore, "I left my money at my cabin." Cabin? Fish thought. Did Willow not live in a castle like other queens did?
"I can go retrieve it for you, my queen," Mire said in an overly confident tone. Willow rolled her eyes again and sighed, "No, thank you, Mire," She said with a sassy diction on the words 'thank you.' Jackie giggled a bit from their queen getting aggravated by Mire. Willow examined the four, "I'll just bring them back to my place to make the deal," She declared cheerfully. Clearly, Willow wasn't one of the most intelligent queens Fish had met. If Willow took them to her home, Fish and his friends could effortlessly assassinate Willow if no one was around, though they didn't want to do this, as it would probably cause more problems than necessary.

Willow slowly lead the four to her cabin. She opened the door and gestured for them to go inside. Though Fish, Eclipse, Freezerburn, and Jamamak seemed hesitant, Eclipse eventually went inside, and they all followed soon after. Willow walked inside and shut the door. Fish looked around. Tree-shaped candles lit up the room. Dark shadows cast to the ground everywhere there wasn't light. There was an old leather-looking recliner and couch. There were aged wooden side tables on either side of the room, near the front and back walls. The walls had insufficient amounts of decor. There were three paintings and what looked to be a map of the Swamp's Main Village.

The door shut with a clang, and Willow's ever-so-chirpy countenance immediately faded. "Who are you, and what do you want," Willow said, almost emotionless. Fish got tense and glanced at Eclipse; She was on the other side of the room.

It was downright silent for a while, and then Eclipse spoke. "POTATOES"

Okay that last part is a joke, but yeah. Tell me what you think, point out poopoo parts mk yeah.
