Spam, it is wherever you can freely post content. it always has been, and probably will be for a long time, because as the video above states. It is your fault. The only way you should interact with spam is reporting it. Anything else and you're being an idiot.
All points are made in the video (Credit to Blunty) but I'll try to make a few more. Or at last, throw them at you again.
For a start, when you see spam, most of the time it's in bad English and has terrible grammar, personally, if someone can't comprehend or use a comma or capitalize some letters, they don't get any of my trust. Thus far in life, it seems to work. Even on Youtube when you see a top rated comment as spam I just think, "These people rated that comment positively and probably clicked on it, I wonder how they'll be doing in a month." Granted, in that situation you can use bots or hax to vote the comment up but still. Some idiot probably clicked it.
The fact is, spam shouldn't work as said in the video, we should have moved on from it and been able to identify what is spam and what isn't. Or at least, spam could have evolved a bit more, maybe use some monkeys that can speak English.
By the nine! Even my 50 something year old father managed to figure out that some people who called our home number were scammers saying our computers were... broken or something. That says a lot to me, if a 50 year old farmer who can't figure out how to turn my desktop on can figure it out, why can't other people? Maybe a spam class is needed in I.T in schools.
I made this rather than a "I'm leaving" rage blog. if desired, I'll do that too. kthnx - <3

A small minority can use the internet.
A smaller minority can use it intelligently.
