STEP BY STEP GUIDE:

1. Build the Setup shown in the picture.

2. /execute @p ~ ~ ~ /testforblock ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:sponge
Write or Copy & Paste this in the command in the command block closest to the redstone clock.

3. /spawnpoint @p
Write or Copy & Paste this in the second command block.

INFO:

1. Type in (/gamerule commandBlockOutput false) if you don't want your chat spammed.

2. If you want to change the ''SPAWNPOINT BLOCK'' change the ''minecraft:sponge'' in the first command.

Why put Redstone Clock? if you can just make the Command block to Repeater and Always active?

You can make it with only a single repeating command block. The command would be:
/execute @a ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:sponge 0 /spawnpoint @p

It won't work if you use a repeat command block.

Well i rather use a Scoreboard or a Tag for that. :D
