The Golden EnderianI’m Wyatt Cullen. Spider-Goldie as you can tell. My best friend is in a depressed mood at the moment due to his dad’s death. His death was for the greater good with that demon living in him. Me and LJ have been dating, and they were quite short due to having to save the city. But she still cares about me enough to have a crush on me. I’m still living with Grayson, but LJ’s planning on moving in with me and him. But while much was going on, I got into another job and a science class since Grayson’s dad started a science company once called “Scientific Lightning Labs”. I was riding my bike to the pizza shop while in a hurry, and the boss was in the way.
“Come on, Cullen! Always late!” Said the boss. He was kinder than Judah Jones, my photography boss.
“I know, I know. I was trying to avoid a crash which would probably make me later, plus I would need to get a new bike” I said. We went inside.
“Here are these 10 pizzas. You are supposed to get these to the corner store by 12:00, and if you’re late, that’s your last delivery” said the boss. So I took them, and went on my journey. I saw kids on the road, so I hid myself, suited up, and got the kids off the road.
“No playing on the streets, that’s unsafe. You could have been hit by that truck if I wasn’t there” I said. I went back to my bike, grabbed the pizza, and web swung over to the corner store. When I got there I went to my normal appearance, and went in.
“Pizza time” I said when I got to the counter.
“You’re 1 minute late. I’m not paying for those” said the counter manager.
“Then I’ll eat them myself” I said. As I was going back, my boss was at the door.
“Go ahead, keep those pizzas. Because you’re fired for being 1 minute late. You know the manager’s a Karen” said the boss.
“Look, just give me another chance” I said.
“Nobody gets much 2nd chances here. Go home” said the boss. I went home with the pizzas. When I went in, Grayson and his mom was their of course. They’re letting me stay there since I don’t have a home in my name anymore, so their house is my new home.
“Ah, Wyatt. Good thing you’re here. Someone’s here to see you. She’s in your room. We hid all evidence that you’re a superhero” said Mrs. Northunder, Grayson’s mom. I went to my room, and when I went inside, an old woman was there.
“Wyatt, is that really you?” Said the woman.
“Yeah, it is me” I said.
“I’m you’re aunt Rose. When your father was alive, he told me your friend Grayson lived here, and if anything happened, you would live here. So when I heard your father died, I moved here, and looked for this building” said Aunt Rose.
“Well I’m guessing you’re looking for an apartment now. Anyways, I gotta get ready for my science class now, maybe we can spend more time together when you get an apartment” I said. I grabbed all my things and left. There was a traffic jam which blocked the sidewalks, so I took another route. I got to the science university, and it looked like i was on time. Then I saw my teacher, Dr. Collins.
“Wyatt, what are you doing?” Asked Dr. Collins.
“I was just going to your class” I said.
“My class just ended. What’s up with you anyways? You’re late to class, you appear exhausted each time. And you haven’t even started your science project which is overdue” said Dr. Collins.
“Well, I’m planning to write about Dr. Tom Richards” I said.
“That’s a good idea. You see, he’s a good friend of mine, and we worked together one time. Anyways, get started on the project, or I’ll fail you” said Dr. Collins. And he gave me an address. So I went there. I knocked on the door with Grayson with me. Someone answered the door. It was Tom Richards.
“Well if it isn’t Grayson Northunder with someone” said Tom.
“Dr. Richards, I’d like you to meet Wyatt Cullen” said Grayson.
“Wyatt, I know you. You’re Dr. Collins’s student. He tells me you’re really intelligent. But also lazy at the same time” said Tom.
“Just trying to do better” I said.
“Well, you 2 can come on in” said Tom. We went in.
“Oh, and I did hire servants to work for Tom, Dad was a billionaire and didn’t wanna show everyone, so I plan to show them that I’m now one” said Grayson.
“Well since I’m your best friend, you would wanna get me stuff. But I would prefer using my own money, which I only have 170 bucks” I said. After saying that, he gave me 10 grand.
“No need to be much of a poor guy, do you?” Asked Grayson.
“I’m telling your mom” I said.
“Well I don’t care about that” said Grayson. We sat down at the table.
”So my plan is to make it so people can have portable solar energy, and it charges not only in the day, but during the night as well. It’s even a magnetic source as well” said Tom.
“You may have miscalculated. Some machines may not work well with magnets on them” I said.
“But this just might work. Anyways, I think we need to get to know each other” said Tom.
“Well, I live with Grayson, and you may already know this, but I’m a fan of Spider-Goldie” I said.
“Then you’ll be in a mansion soon” said Tom.
“I think me and Wyatt should get going” said Grayson. After that, we left. The next day, we were at one of the warehouses of Scientific Lightning Labs. Tom was presenting his invention, which I knew was gonna turn out wrong somehow
“Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to show everyone my latest invention. This will give everyone portable solar power. And it wouldn’t be possible without Grayson and Harold Northunder” said Tom.
“Just so you know, Harold’s my cousin! Also this better work, because I spent my money on half of that!” said Grayson. Of course the model Tom had was only a prototype, and needed to be plugged in. When he plugged it in, there was a ball of fire in the border.
“A descendant of a star on my own hand” Tom whispered as I was trying to hold onto my magnet pen. Everything magnetic was going into the ball of fire as it was getting bigger. I ran out, found a hiding place, took off the clothes hiding my suit, and took the rest of the suit from my backpack and put it on. I went back to the warehouse.
“Everyone out!” I told everyone. They ran out of the building, but Harold and Tom stayed. The ball of fire grew big enough to where it touched Tom, and it covered him like a force field. I grabbed Harold, and took him out of the building. I set him on the sidewalk.
“This doesn’t change how I feel about you. I swear under my uncle’s grave, you will pay” said Harold.
“Harold, chillax. He’s just trying to keep the city safe” said Grayson. I went back to the warehouse, and unplugged the cord. The ball of fire went inside Tom. I took him to a nearby ambulance.
“He needs a medic ASAP” I told them.
“Alright, we’ll get him to the hospital” said the driver.
“Thanks” I said. And I left. I went to my backpack, took off what was going into it, and put on my normal clothes over the rest of the suit I had on. I went home, and I saw Grayson and his mom packing.
“Wyatt, Grayson had got a mansion for us to live in, we’re moving in there. All of your stuff are in special suitcases with your signature colors on them” said Mrs. Northunder. She gave me all of my suitcases, and Aunt Rose came.
“Wyatt, where are you guys going?” Asked Aunt Rose.
“We’re going to a mansion, and we’re having this place as an extra property” said Grayson.
“Wait, Aunt Rose can life here” I said.
“That’s a great idea” said Aunt Rose.
”Okay, we’ll have to send servants to help her with setting up this place the way she wants” said Grayson.
“It’s perfect the way it is” said Aunt Rose.
“Okay. Well, we should get going” said Grayson. After that, we left to go to the mansion. When we were there, there were 5 servants.
“Alright, I’ll have one of the servants unpack everything for you” said Grayson.
“No, that’s okay. I can do it myself” I said.
“I had to tell them, I didn’t want them leaving if they found out about you if I didn’t tell them” said Grayson.
“Still, I wanna do it myself, I could lose a bit of weight” I said. After I unpacked everything, it was time for lunch. After lunch, me and Grayson went to the store.
“What do we wanna get?” Asked Grayson.
“Dunno... Maybe some legos so we could be creative” I said.
“Good idea” said Grayson. We got 100 lego sets, and Grayson wanted to pay for all of them himself so I could keep my money. So I let him do him. When we got to his house, we saw Tom, but he had dark reddish-orangish clothes, and wings made out if fire.
“Hello there Wyatt and Grayson. Wyatt, you take the pictures of Spider-Goldie. Well, I want him” said Tom
”When?” I asked.
“As soon as possible” said Tom. He looked more serious than I’ve ever seen him. But I couldn’t just say I was Spider-Goldie. I went outside, leaving Grayson to unpack everything. I found a good spot, and it took enough time for it to be believable that I wasn’t Spider-Goldie. I quick got out of my disguise and put the rest of my suit on, and went back to Grayson’s mansion.
“Ah, Spider-Goldie! I just wanted to quick talk with you” said Tom. It looked like everything was put away, but Grayson was tied up. I tried running to Grayson, hoping I could untie him, but Tom’s wing grew, and blocked my way. I couldn’t slide under it.
“What did you do to this kid?” I asked
“I’ll let you save him if you promise to stay out of my way. I plan to rerun my experiment” said Tom.
“After what happened last time, I won’t let you!” I said.
“Alright” said Tom. And he moved his wing towards me. I backed away, and somehow managed to get behind him. I webbed his back until his wings disappeared.
“I would run if I were you, and maybe put your clothes in the laundry” I said. He ran away like a coward, and I freed Grayson.
“Thanks, Wyatt. I couldn’t have made it out without you” said Grayson.
“No problem. I gotta put back on my cover clothes and go to work” I said. And I left. I went to my backpack, and took off the suit that couldn’t go under my clothes just so I can put on the clothes. I went to work after that.
“Cullen! I need you here! We need a name for this new chaos causer!” Said Judah Jones, my boss.
“FireBird? Blaze Feather?” I said.
“Those kinda suck. I was thinking Doctor Fiery Blaze just in case you couldn’t come up with anything good!” Said Judah.
“Maybe get rid of the ‘doctor’ thingy” I said. Tom flew up to us and broke the window.
“No newspapers about me today, please” said Tom. I ran away as soon as I saw him, and hid outside. I took off my clothes and put on my suit. Then I flew through the window.
“Wyatt Cullen found me and told me you came. Anyways, Judah Jones, if that’s your name, do you know why he came?” I asked.
“You menace! I won’t tell you a thing!” Said Judah. As Tom was in the air, I got up, and webbed his back like last time. But just as I was about to shoot the last web, it didn’t come out of me. Max’s wings did disappear, but it seemed like it was the same for my powers. I fell and hit the sidewalk. I got up, and waited so I could go past, but no cars were clearing the path for me. A man came to me.
“Are you waiting for a car to get past?” Asked the man.
“Yeah, I think I’m starting to lose my powers” I said.
“No worries, I wanna cross the road too” said the man. And he stood next to me. In a few seconds, the cars cleared a path for us, and we walked past.
“It’s a great honor helping, Spider-Goldie” said the man.
“Thanks. Have a good day!” I said as he walked to where he was going. And he waved back to me. I went to my backpack, took off my suit, and put on my normal clothes. I went back to Grayson’s mansion, and my vision started to get blurry. I went in, slowly.
“Wyatt, what’s going on?” Asked Grayson.
“I think I’m losing my powers and I need glasses again” I said. Grayson had a whole box of glasses.
“Your aunt Rose is planning on doing a yard sale and I’m bringing this box of glasses to her. This is way more than enough, so I’ll give you a pair” said Grayson. And he gave me a golden pair of glasses for me to put on.
“Thanks” I said.
“No problem” said Grayson. The next day, I was in science class on time.
“What is the number of electrons in a strong lightning bolt?” Asked Dr. Collins. I raised my hand, and Dr. Collins called on me.
“1723.8 electrons” I said.
“That’s correct” said Dr. Collins.
Me and LJ were at a restaurant.
“Wyatt, do you love me even without your powers?” Asked LJ.
“Yes, I do, but if I somehow get my powers back, there will be risks to being in love with me. If I get my powers back, if I have any more enemies in the future, if they found out about us, I just couldn’t stand the risk of you getting killed and me breaking down, because you were a hero’s girlfriend. So if I get my powers back, I want you to stay away from me unless we can only be friends” I said. After that, the windows broke. I looked behind me, and my vision was blurry. Me and LJ hid, but I couldn’t see much.
“Wyatt, are you okay? You were running like a drunk man” said LJ. I took off my glasses, and I saw LJ perfectly.
“LJ, I think my powers are back” I said. I aimed at a wall to test my prediction, and I was able to shoot a web.
“I wanna face the risks with you, Wyatt. I can’t survive without you” said LJ.
“I gotta go stop Tom, just stay here” I told her. I ran back to Grayson’s mansion which he now called “Northunder Manor”. I went in, got changes into my suit, and swung all the way to Tom. When I got to him, something hit me, and it knocked me out. An hour later, I was in a white infinity room, and it was glowing. I saw someone who wore a suit similar to mine, but it was red and blue with gold highlights. He didn’t have a cape, jacket, scarf, or hood. He took off his mask, and I took off mine.
“Hi, Wyatt Cullen. My name’s Barry Allen. You’re unconscious right now, but I’m most likely gonna be in your future somehow. You have to stop Tom as soon as possible. Just remember, with great power comes great responsibility. Take my hand” said the figure. He held his hand out, and tears came out of my eyes.
“I can’t take your hand, Barry. I can’t. I’m Spider-Goldie. No more” I said. After that, I blacked out, then a second later, I was conscious again, but I closed my eyes, and looked like i was still unconscious.
“Let’s see who’s under that mask” said a voice that sounded like Harold Northunder. I heard him come closer, and in no time at all, he took off my mask, and I opened my eyes. He was as shocked as ever to see me, and I was tied in wire. I manages to break free without hurting myself.
“Harold, you can’t tell anyone. I’ll tell Grayson that you know. He knew I got these powers from the start way before I was even Spider-Goldie” I said. His parents were with him, trying to comfort him. I went away to stop Tom. I went to the warehouse, and it looked like he was running the experiment again. This time, it was way bigger. And he had tied Aunt Rose, and LJ in barbed wire. It was too hot for me to wear my mask, so I had to take it off.
“Wyatt? You’re Spider-Goldie?” Asked Aunt Rose.
“Yes, I am. I was planning to tell you at some point. And LJ, I’m sorry. Tom knocked me unconscious when I left” I said. Tom looked like he realized what he was doing, and Aunt Rose and LJ were about to go towards the experiment. I webbed them both and pulled them away so I could untie them. When they were untied, I told them to run away. Tom fell onto a raft, and I went to him.
“Wyatt Cullen. Amazing, but Lazy” said Tom.
“We need to shut this thing down, and get rid of your wings” I said.
“It’s too late. We need to drown me and the experiment into the water” said Tom. So I went to work on that, but slowly, I managed to do it without the experiment touching me. The experiment sunk in the water, and Tom went down with it. A few days later, LJ moved into Northunder Manor, and Aunt Rose was still at her house. We had dinner, and I shared my room with LJ.

If I get my powers back, if I have any more enemies in the future, if they found out about us, I just couldn’t stand the risk of you getting killed and me breaking down, because you were a hero’s girlfriend. So if I get my powers back, I want you to stay away from me unless we can only be friends” I said. After that, the windows broke. I looked behind me, and my vision was blurry. Me and LJ hid, but I couldn’t see much.
“Wyatt, are you okay? You were running like a drunk man” said LJ. I took off my glasses, and I saw LJ perfectly.
“LJ, I think my powers are back” I said. I aimed at a wall to test my prediction, and I was able to shoot a web.
“I wanna face the risks with you, Wyatt. I can’t survive without you” said LJ.
“I gotta go stop Tom, just stay here” I told her. I ran back to Grayson’s mansion which he now called “Northunder Manor”. I went in, got changes into my suit, and swung all the way to Tom. When I got to him, something hit me, and it knocked me out. An hour later, I was in a white infinity room, and it was glowing. I saw someone who wore a suit similar to mine, but it was red and blue with gold highlights. He didn’t have a cape, jacket, scarf, or hood. He took off his mask, and I took off mine.
“Hi, Wyatt Cullen. My name’s Barry Allen. You’re unconscious right now, but I’m most likely gonna be in your future somehow. You have to stop Tom as soon as possible. Just remember, with great power comes great responsibility. Take my hand” said the figure. He held his hand out, and tears came out of my eyes.
“I can’t take your hand, Barry. I can’t. I’m Spider-Goldie. No more” I said. After that, I blacked out, then a second later, I was conscious again, but I closed my eyes, and looked like i was still unconscious.
“Let’s see who’s under that mask” said a voice that sounded like Harold Northunder. I heard him come closer, and in no time at all, he took off my mask, and I opened my eyes. He was as shocked as ever to see me, and I was tied in wire. I manages to break free without hurting myself.
“Harold, you can’t tell anyone. I’ll tell Grayson that you know. He knew I got these powers from the start way before I was even Spider-Goldie” I said. His parents were with him, trying to comfort him. I went away to stop Tom. I went to the warehouse, and it looked like he was running the experiment again. This time, it was way bigger. And he had tied Aunt Rose, and LJ in barbed wire. It was too hot for me to wear my mask, so I had to take it off.
“Wyatt? You’re Spider-Goldie?” Asked Aunt Rose.
“Yes, I am. I was planning to tell you at some point. And LJ, I’m sorry. Tom knocked me unconscious when I left” I said. Tom looked like he realized what he was doing, and Aunt Rose and LJ were about to go towards the experiment. I webbed them both and pulled them away so I could untie them. When they were untied, I told them to run away. Tom fell onto a raft, and I went to him.
“Wyatt Cullen. Amazing, but Lazy” said Tom.
“We need to shut this thing down, and get rid of your wings” I said.
“It’s too late. We need to drown me and the experiment into the water” said Tom. So I went to work on that, but slowly, I managed to do it without the experiment touching me. The experiment sunk in the water, and Tom went down with it. A few days later, LJ moved into Northunder Manor, and Aunt Rose was still at her house. We had dinner, and I shared my room with LJ.
