- Spleef Tips
Hey everybody, this is my first blog. I will be sharing with you, some tips on spleef that have brought me to the top 10 leaderboard for spleef on a fairly popular server, and that have gained me many spleef victories overall. Now without further ado, let the spleefing begin!
Rules
First, we have the basic rules of spleef. You get put into an arena with a floor made of an easily breakable material (Usually snow.) You are given a tool that breaks the block that the floor is made of very quickly. You must break the blocks under people, and send them into the void underneath the floor, while avoiding the same fate yourself. The last person in the arena wins.
Strategies
Now we have the actual tips for spleef. - Always move around. If you stay in one place for too long (which is about two seconds if you're facing me XD) an opponent will run up to you and attempt to eliminate you. Standing still is a great way to lose a match.
- If you see someone chargin towards you, use it to your advantage. Quickly break the blocks in front of you, then while they're trying to avoid the gap, charge forward and eliminate them, which leads us to the next tip.
- Always circle around your opponent. Never charge right at them. Circle around them and try to break the blocks they're heading towards. If you have them running backwards away from you, that's great. You can sprint forward and try to break blocks from under them, while they can only go at a normal walking speed. Also, you have the advantage of being able to see where you're going, while they could easily stumble into the void.
- Don't island. Islanding is a strategy where you break all the blocks around you so nobody can get to you. Many spleef plug-ins have a way for you to get snowballs, whether it be throug breaking snow, or a command. Also, many spleef plug-ins make you lose hunger extremely quickly unless you break blocks. If you're on an island, you quickly run out of blocks to break and starve. Also, islanding is just really annoying for people who don't know how to deal with it.
I hope these tips help in your spleefing adventures! I'll see you later!
