Day 2
Hello again, Journal.
I could use something to cook this beef with and I still need a bed. It's been difficult simply sitting here, waiting for sunrise. The things outside don't help much either, what with the sounds they make.
I've been thinking and maybe there's a bright side to this whole mix up. Other than the fact that there's no other people that I can tell, it doesn't seem all that bad. As long as I have you, Journal, I think I'll be alright.
While I was building my shelter yesterday, I think I saw a cave opening. I could get some cobblestone from that and maybe a source of heat. All I need is the cobblestone, then I can cook this beef.
I can't wait. I'll be back after a bit of exploring, Journal.

The smell of the cooking beef is intoxicating. I can hear it sizzling inside my furnace and it's driving me a bit crazy. I got some more wood today and I have a bed. To my joy, the cave I saw did in fact have some coal in it, but not much. What coal it did yield was enough for some torches, some of which are now posted up on, and inside my house. I think I'll go to bed when I'm done writing, Journal. The bed looks very comfortable and I haven't slept for two days. I should probably go to bed before the sounds start up again.
