How do advertise and set up your server properly:
Hello, I am going to be going through just a few steps in gaining a successful amount of players that are dedicated to your server.
1. Have proper Graphics such as a banner, images and videos.
These need to catch the viewers attention. For example if somebody is scrolling down PlanetMinecraft's Server list what is going to make them choose your server as of the server under or above yours? A good example of a banner is this:
This is more the less the first thing you saw when you viewed this post. And is probably getting rather annoying. BUT this is something that stands out on a server list and draws people to your server.
2. Your server needs to be attractive to the viewer.
- For example somebody is more inclined to join a server who's ip is:TakeWar.com rather than an ip that is: 79.283.910.292:23041.
- Also when somebody joins your server you need to have something that stands out and keeps their attention to the server maybe a huge structure or something amazing in their inventory. These things make the new player want to stay on the server.
3. Have an overall server theme.
- Your server should have something that stands out from all the other server kinds of itself. So what would make somebody want to stay on your server of 5 people than another server just like yours who has 100 players?
- This is very important because it helps to keep people on your server and grows it significantly.
4. Advertise, Advertise, Advertise!
- This is such a key aspect of running a server, here are my top 5 sites that I recommend:

- You need to keep constant update with these sites and be sure to have a very "intriguing" text in the server description.
- You also need to add a reward (through Votifier) that makes the players want to vote for your server. Something like EXP or maybe $5,000, or even a rank. This helps your advertising and continues a flow of people directed to your server.
5. Have a well developed server.
- This is something that is crucial to having players stay on your server. You need to have easily accessible and resourceful places news spawn.
- You should also have a PVP Timer so players don't log rage in the beginning (saying that for server is a PVP server)
- You ranks should be simple and attractive and not take up an in tire line of text. (If you have ranks)
- Be sure to have a clean setup that is not confusing for new players.
