This project is (at the current moment) a complete pack of all "Vanity" items from the game Terraria, which range from varied sets of clothing to single appearance-only items that can be applied to your own Minecraft skin. Depending on future changes and general feedback this project might be updated and expanded in order to include more items from the game.

Since there was no proper category to upload this, I uploaded it as a Blog; sorry for any trouble.

So... well, I'll try and make this as brief as possible, but you will need to know a few things to make proper use of the content included in this project. You will also need any image editing software that supports Alpha Channel (transparency) and layer management, I personally use and recommend Paint.NET which is free and easy to use (and which i will be using on the tutorial images as well).
I don't remember seeing anything like this before but my guess is that someone else did something like this as well, either way it's just an attempt of mine to bring something different from the usual uploads, so I really hope you like it!

Let's get started.

So, what is a "prop pack"?

A prop pack is basically a pack of files which consist in skin pieces such as hats, glasses, and general accessories/clothing that you can import and place onto your own Minecraft skin, adding an extra and more customizable look to it.

How do i use it?

Even though this is quite an easy and simple process to do you should be careful with each part of it (mainly if you're new to skinning/image editing), so be sure to read everything carefully!
After you have downloaded all the files you should probably want to import the props you wish into your skin. To do this, you will need a software of the kind I mentioned before, since most of them follow the same standard of tools and visual interface you shouldn't have problems with different softwares. Well, that's enough rambling, just follow these steps and you'll be fine:

- First, open your skin using your preferred software.

- If you are using Paint.NET, merely selecting the "Import From File..." option under the "Layers" menu will have a new layer added and the prop you selected properly placed. If that's not the case and you're using another software, you might want to go for "Add New Layer", and then copy/paste the prop you want separately into it (be sure the new layer where the prop is going to be placed is over the base skin's one, otherwise it will be covered by it).

- Keep in mind that you have to place the props in their respective layers, and organize those properly (layers used for leg props under layers possibly used for body/chest props, for example, this might keep you from getting a coat or cape under your skin's pants). After everything is done, choose to flatten the image (merge all layers) if you're prompted to, and be sure to save it as PNG, otherwise it won't work!

P.S.: Keep in mind that base skins which already make use of the head overlay may conflict with additional props, to fix this, simply erase the part of the base skin that is not fitting with the head accessory (hair going through a hat, for example):

This is how it should look after you've finished:

I also plan to make more props such as full armor sets, accessories, and anything else skin-able that is currently/will be released in Terraria if people get enough interest in this project, so be sure to leave feedback (even a short one) if you may!

Thanks for the encouragement, but skinning and map-making don't relate at all.
Look, as much as I would like to help you on that, I can't. I appreciate your feedback but I am not a map-maker, nor I am interested in working on two different projects at once.

I am not a map maker. The intention behind this project is to make a skin prop pack, not a map, nor a texture pack (even though I considered this idea for a while, i gave up on it).

You should ask somebody else for that, sorry.
