So I made this a lot better. You can see a drastic change from what I used to make below these models.
Hey everyone I thought it would be a good idea to see what you people out there beyond my circle of friends thought of my 3D models and if you think there are other ways to improve them. I'll be as active as possible here and continue to update this thread with new content as more in produced. For now I have a couple of pictures of my first three models. I have not finished this character yet, and there are still some things I'm trying to learn. My friend even found out a way to animate the 3D parts of a mode them selves.
So back to the topic at hand. What I've been able to do here is construct the basic version of the model with solid materials before I moved on to start to texture them. To make the textures I'm using Adobe Photoshop CC. It had all I needed, and more. Now I only have a half textures piece of the head to show you also I'm trying to revamp the texture a bit so that it will look better in general. I have not made a texture pack in my life so I've been trying to learn how I will texture the blocks as well. I'll even put a picture of some swords I'm working on, and in it you will see how I make them.
So here is a picture of the unfinished head.
Here are the pictures of the swords.
Lastly what I've done here is for every single one of the models in the images above I've just used a diamond sword and changed the damage value, with this you still see that it's damaged sadly. So I'm going to remove the texture for the damage value bar. Once that's done it wont obstruct the item in the inventory anymore. Now you might say, "Then I wont be able to know when my sword is broken." Well see this would be meant for a project of mine in the future where it would be used in sense where you would need to worry about your diamond sword breaking. Therefore this is not an issue
So write your comments below, and give some feedback. You can even suggest types of items I should add later. See you soon!
