A man had awoken amongst a sea of Black Slime. His feet squelched as he stood up and looked around him. He looked up and saw the sky, blackened, even with a bright sun which beat down a sort of comforting heat upon his skin. He could hear his heartbeat throb in his head, to which he clutched and pulled at his hair as if clawing to get into his skull. To silence the sound... And then it stopped. The man looked up from his writing, his feet cemented in the black sludge below and saw him. The Crawling Chaos. It took the form of man, and they made eye contact. He was tall, skinny, and seemed to wear an adorned headdress, like a Pharoah.

"You are lost." The entity says, with an amused sort of purr emanating from its person. The man could not see a mouth, for the skin was as black as the vacuum of space, and even if he could, he heard the statement from every single direction. It made his skin crawl, and the very sight of the entity seemed to make his vision blur and focus at random intervals... a different sort of pain was present now.

"I can help you. But I want something in return." The being would say, moving towards the man with an inhuman sort of glide. There was no sound as it travelled towards him and the entity outstretched a skinny hand towards the man. The man was in madness, and out of desperation reached out to grab the hand of the Crawling Chaos...

A scream echoed.
