--Story--
Now, I know this is a pretty used topic, but something happened to me personally that made me just want to talk about it. Also, sorry about being rather inactive for a while. Anyways, a while back, I joined a creative server. You could build things, and if they were good, you would rank up and be able to have another bigger plot to build on. This server had pretty high standards for ranking up. Even for the first rank up, it had to look pretty very good to be worthy of ranking. The first build I did was a small house. I thought it looked pretty good. I was really psyched about ranking up because I am kind of competitive and like achievements and ranks and stuff like that. I queued up to be reviewed, and when the review came, I was denied. The review didn't look like they had put a lot of thought into it and was not very encouraging. It was pretty much hate. I was a bit disappointed, but I made the improvements it somewhat rudely suggested and queued up again. The same staff member reviewed my plot, and the review was one sentence long. I will quote the review: "improve the terraform". I was actually pretty happy that that was all I had to do. After making some major improvements, I queued up again. This time, a different guy reviewed it and told me to make more changes, but in a much nicer and friendlier way. I happily made them. Finally, I queued up one last time and I was denied and given a lot of criticism. Unfortunately, I got frustrated and reset my plot.
--Moral of the Story--
If you get feedback, don't say it's hate. Use it to improve yourself. If you get hate, improve yourself with that too, unless it's absolutely meaningless. Remember, some people just tend to give feedback in a more... hateful way. This doesn't mean it is not valid. Don't be like me and reset your figurative plot.
