Almost like some invisible barrier was holding the darkness back, Steve could see that the light that came from nowhere did not even manage to pierce the darkness. He took a deep breath and walked in, his vision dimmed considerably and he could only see further than a metre away from him. Fear swept through him, and he had a knot in his stomach. Many a times during the walk through the dark he had wanted to give up, lie on the ground and cry his heart out, but he always remembered the screams of the two children and he would tell himself to man up and do it for the children. After what he thought was a million kilometers, Steve's vision just suddenly grew, he could see 5, no 10 metres in front of him! Soon he could see the whole cavern with strangely, no shadows even in what would have been the darkest corners of the cavern. However, what caught his attention were the inscriptions on the walls of the cavern, pictures carved upon the walls, mystified him as he continued walking forward. He saw two, no three silhouettes on the far side of the cave, and he felt a moment of joy, two of the silhouettes were shorter than the third one. As he walked closer to them, he saw that it was indeed the two children, and muh to his surprise , the same man who teleported him to the desert! The man, looked at Steve with the same sapphire blue eyes and unkempt beard. The man spoke with the same resonating yet calming voice " Steve, you have succeeded and passed the first test, we shall now proceed to the next." The man suddenly appeared next to him and tapped him lightly on the shoulder, and once again, Steve fell into unconsciousness.... To be continued ImbaJelly
