Hello Everyone,
Most of you have no idea who I am, besides that point I would wish to share with you my personal experience of my first few months on the website. When I first went on Planet Minecraft it was an intentional search, simply browsing Google images to find a skin for a medieval Guild I had joined a few days prior. it then took about a month to actually get on the website when I googled for maps to put on a server. There one thing I found in constancy was the link /planetminecraft.com. For most of you PMC has been a part of your internet life for a long time now. For me it started when I became a new miner. For me it was never about becoming the most popular person on the website. It was to show people what I had to offer to share my creations in a way that not only my friends and family would see. For the people who first saw me a month ago you would remember the S.S. Saratoga, my first ever submission to be posted. For few hours/minutes followed and I already had four submissions uploaded. Currently I have two subscribers, and if I ever get thousands or even tens I will never forget my first, Softqueen.
I think everything went partly away from not wanting to be famous when I saw what creative_node was doing. I so badly wanted to be as appreciated as them and that was when i stared my first progress Build, The Normandy 2. The ship is still in construction and it might be for a long time yet (yes I do have a social life). Making friends with theadambomb and Tacoman was really when I figured out this website was not just a way to share what I could do. But to have forums and ways to make friends was just a magical feeling. At first I had no idea that this place was more then upload a creation, get diamonds, get subscribers and hope to get popular. Even though that was never the plan.
The first few months have been a learning experience for me and though I don't have much to show so far, stay tuned.
