Have you ever wondered what the credits meant? If it held some sort of inner knowledge of the game? Well I can't explain all of it but I learned something. Have you ever wondered why when you die you spawn back in your bed? Well, I have a theory. But it can only be explained in a story. "Once there was a man named Steve. He enjoyed his little house he made, but it was missing something. A nice warm bed! He crafted one from wool and planks and went to sleep instantly. When he woke up he decided to go mining.
Once he reached 'Y: 10' he saw a nice shiny diamond on the wall. Right as he was mining it though he heard a clatter of bones. He turned around to see a skeleton army charging at him. He tried to run but their range was too great. He collapsed to the floor with 10 arrows in his back. Everything went black for Steve. Suddenly he felt energy surging through his body again as he sat up. He was in his bed. Did he dream that whole mining adventure? He returned to the same cave and saw the diamond he was about to mine. As he mined it he heard skeletons again. This time though, he prepared himself with armour before he came and slayed them all. He turned left to see a pile of items on the floor. He noticed the diamond sword was glowing with enchantment. Just like the sword Excalibur he lost in his dream. He picked it up and realized it was the same sword! How could that be though? He put all his stuff in a chest before he went to sleep, but when he woke up he couldn't find it in the chest! He wandered on in a daze when he realized it was night. He tried to rush in his house before sunset but it was too late. by the time he was in his front yard a creeper was standing there in his garden. He quickly ran but the creeper caught him.
Everything went black again... and Steve woke up in his bed again. He was wondering how one could dream in a dream when he saw a big hole in his wall. And he looked at the moon. It was at the same spot as it was when he died. He rushed to the spot where he died in his dream and his stuff was there! Steve realized that the bed had sent him into eternal limbo. His mind carrying over his previous dreams to the next, trying to trick him into a feeling of immortality so he would stay forever! He thought that there would be no way to freedom. To be forced to live in a dream forever. To never wake up... to never truly live. He remembered a story his mother told him about celestial bodies that watch over us. He realized maybe he could dream of them and they would enter his dream to free him. No use. He remembered they lived in "The Aftermath". He didn't know what that meant.
As he was in his home he decided to check his inventory. As he was carrying his stuff to a chest he dropped his ender pearl. When he reached for it, his blaze powder spilled onto the pearl. He was mad that he was dropping all this stuff when suddenly, the pearl started changing. He picked up the strange object that had the shape of his pearl, but looked like an eye. He called this an "Ender Eye". He was about to put it away when it started flying away! Not wanting to lose it he started chasing it into a cave, around a spawner and eventually, to a weird structure underground. He decided to find out where the eye led him, so he explored it. He found some impressive things including chests, books, golden apples, and a weird frame. He noticed the ender eye had lodged itself in a slot. Realizing what he had to do he made more "Eyes of Ender" and slipped them in the slots. As he slipped the last one in, a portal opened and sucked him in! He found himself on a platform in a weird dimension. He saw swarms of endermen and realized he should probably put on a pumpkin. He was wondering where he was when suddenly, a great black dragon swooped at him! The "Ender Dragon"! Steve quickly pulled out his "Excalibow" which was his bow equivalant of "Excalibur" He fired a couple rounds into the beast who seemed injured but seemed to be better. He saw some crystals that were healing the dragon. As he unloaded a shot on one as the dragon was using it, it exploded and hurt the dragon! The dragon seemed to realize Steve discovered his power source and dived at him. Steve of course, easily evaded and fired more arrows at the crystals. Once they were all gone, he plunged "Excalibur" into the beast's back and watched as it rose up and exploded into XP orbs. A portal opened right by Steve when he realized. "Endermen", "Ender Dragon", "Ender Pearl/Eyes". He realized this realm was the legendary "End" and after the End of something came the Aftermath! He excitedly hopped through the portal and found himself surrounded by energy as he heard beings speak about him.
He suddenly woke up and found himself in a beautiful place where the gates are made of pearls and the streets of gold. And Steve was happy. He felt for his items and for some reason couldn't find them. He knew it didn't matter though. He was in a place where fear and sorrow are yesterday and joy and happiness are tomorrow. A player found Steve's items on Earth and used them to build a house. The player thought to himself. "My house needs a bed". And the cycle begins anew..."
In the credits it mentions "Waking Up" so many times and dreaming what we were. Life is but a dream that when we die, we wake up into eternity... Of course not Minecraft beds! They attempt to keep Steve in a dream forever. To never wake up into the beautiful eternity that our Lord created for us... (Yeah I said Lord. I'm not afraid to say i'm a Christian.)
