Hello everyone, Io m madmax3004 This is o The Idea-Boxo , I Basically write around 3 o 6 ideas and youo re totally free to use them.
The idea:
Well, Io m writing this because, well, because everythingo s becoming boring in my eyes, no new things, no new mc celebrities, no new building styles and no new ideas.
So, Io m gonna try to give yeo all some ideas to make minecraft less boring!
Intro Ideas (1):
Look around, and enjoy the world;
Sometimes you just need to look at the details of the world around you, look at the roofs, and see or you can find any special roof designs, look at the colours of buildings, and think about it, maybe it could be a pretty good colour for your next build.
Look at the nature, ito s the best example of terraforming you can get!
Map Ideas(1):
Raging Dungeon;
Youo ll need allot of experience with redstone, and a good taste of jokes.
This map basically is about a dungeon, thereo s lots of levers around the map which activate or doors, or traps, these traps include spawning of mobs, adding temporal suffocation hallways, and more.
If you activate a switch, the door behind you will close, and thereo s limited levers you have (best set to adventure mode or such so they cano t remove the levers).
The map isno t that hard to make, and can be quite fun if you play it with friends (as long as you add several ways to the next level so your friends cano t lock you in the dungeon).
Some thoughts I had:
Relax!;
You may sometimes feel like you gotta write you blog fast or finish your project as soon as possible, and it can cause stress, maybe even make your grades bad.
So just relax, stop stressing, if people like your build, they really wono t be angry if you release it a day or a week later.
And to all bloggers & writers out there, ito s better to think about something before your post it, than quickly write some stuff down and hope ito ll be great, I usually, after writing something (which takes some time because I want to make sure ito s good), save it and wait a bit, think about things, add & remove stuff, and then post it.
So, dono t stress, relax, and take your time.
Mod Ideas(1):
The Dungeon mod;
(Partially got the idea by a fun android game; Pixel Dungeon)
Thereo s lots of mods out there that create dungeons, but thereo s no real mod that makes your world one real dungeon, no overworld or nether, just a dungeon.
The idea: you can choose o Dungeono in the world generation menu, after choosing this, and generating the world, youo ll spawn in a small room with a special chest block in front of you (more on this later).
After choosing your class, youo ll gear up and prepare to enter the dungeon, youo ll need to find and use several new items to proceed.
There may be portals leading to tougher dungeons, or to small fenced off towns where you can rest, set respawn point, and buy new gear or sell old stuff.
Items:
-Class Chest; When opening this chest you can choose one of the defined classes (basic classes set to; Warrior, Mage, Ranger, Thief), if youo re op, you can add classes by opening the class editing menu, clicking add class, and dropping the items into the chest, then naming the class, possibly adding special abilities, and then clicking done.
-Iron Key; Used to unlock Iron Locked Doors.
-Gold Key; Used to unlock Tier 2 treasure chests (Tier 1 can be opened like any other chest)
-Diamond Key; Used to unlock Tier 3 treasure chests.
-Respawn Beacon; Place this item to add a beacon point (can be tpo d to by using a Beacon Device block in small towns)
-Beacon Device (block); Clicking it opens a GUI with a list of Beacons, you can activate a beacon, then a portal will open up above the device, offering a 2 way gate to the beacon and back.
-Locked Iron Door; cano t be unlocked by redstone or anything else, except for an Iron Key.
Classes & Abilities;
The main idea contains 3 classes as default;
Warrior: Starts with a stone sword & leather chestplate, deals extra damage & has 2 more hearts on start.
Mage: Starts with a fire wand (which can shoot a small blaze fireball at the cost of half a food level) and can automatically identify magical items (items can be unidentified and need to be identified before use, or they can do random things that can cause harm to you, you can identify them by going to a mage in a town)
Ranger: Starts with a bow & 14 Arrows, has 20% chance to be unseen when walking around in the dungeon when a monster would normally see the player.
Now, about the abilities, there are several I thought of;
Stealth: like the ranger, the chance of not being seen by mobs when walking close to them. (as long as you sneak)
Strength: The higher this is, the more damage you deal with melee weapons.
Agility: The higher this is, the easier you dodge enemies.
Mana: The higher this is, the more chance you have of not using up food when using magic.
Server Ideas(1):
ShipCraft: This is an Idea I had since quite some time, it basically is a server completely about sailing ships & seafights, pirates, as most people would call it, but I call it extreme fun.
You may need to code a plugin, or find a good existing plugin, (movecraft used to allow the making of boats and sailing them, not sure or it still does).
This server would gain allot of attention as AC; Black Flag will come out in a bit, and ito s also about pirates, so ito ll be a popular search result; o Minecraft pirate servero or sort alike.
You could even make it look like Black Flag by adding grapplehook mechanism thingies to swing to other ships & more.
Anyway, this looks like a great idea, better make this server fast and be the first real o black flago -alike pirate server!
Skin Ideas(2):
Fantasy Skins: I see allot of teen skins, derp skins, game skins & more, but what I miss are the real fantasy skins, whether ito s a good old hero, or a funny old mage, I still love them.
They make me think about old games like The Legend of Zelda and Dragon Quest.
Beast Skins: Something I haveno t seen for a while; beast skins!
Whereo s the good old werewolf skin, or maybe some exotic monsters? A reptile, a dragon, or even a lion.
I mean, I haveno t seen them (or atleast some good ones) since quite a while.
Remarcable Projects, skins & texture packs;
(these aren't my ideas, they're just great things i wanted to share with ye'all)
The andromedian angel; a skin by devilcupcakes.
I like this skin because ito s different from the everyday teen & derp skins, it made me feel like it belongs to some kind of fantasy game, or suitable for roleplay servers, I love the shading, and the skin style.
Shading: 8/10
Design: 8/10
Colour choice: 8/10
Extras: 6/10 (a short back story)
Final Skin Results: 30/40
Great skin, many details, maybe not the best skin for everyday use on faction or pvp servers, but certainly good for RPG / RP servers, or fantasy themed servers.
