The Issue: PMC Exclusive Groups
Hello PMC. Today I would like to talk to you about something that I know I will get flamed about. This is about PMC groups such as the skinning association and such. Before you leave this article, Io d like to let you know that this isno t your average rant. Io m not using happy colors for angry speech, Io m using a program with spellcheck to proofread this and Io ll try not to sound like a whining 12-year-old. Well, here goes nothing.
First of all, how did groups like these get so popular? Most people on here have joined because their o friendso are in these groups or want to be able to say o Io m a member of the PMC skinning associationo . Io m guessing that if they join something like this then they will become more popular, just like how girls in middle and high school think that if they date a boy with popularity they will become popular. In all honesty, when I thought about joining the skinning association it was because everyone else was joining, so I thought, why not? On dinowcookieo s blogs about the group I barely glanced at the list of members. That just goes to show you that if youo re in the same group that popular people are in, that wono t make you popular. That rule doesno t just go for PMC, but for life.
I dono t really see the point to groups such as the angel block society. It only excludes those who areno t on the same level. I find that people who run such groups or are o famouso are rather snobbish. They wono t respond to private messages, act like they have all these o fanso and overall act like they are on a higher level not only as a builder, skinner or minecrafter, but as a person.
Please dono t think of this as bashing anyone, as Io m only naming names of groups and not specific people. This was meant so that I could show my opinion, not to get groups or people banned. Please, dono t flame me, but tell me what you think about this in the comments. Thanks for reading this!
