The Monster World
Once upon a time, before the Golden Age and before players dawned upon the world, the whole world was a barren wasteland filled with monsters. The monsters lived in a castle, right in the center of the world, their kingdom. The kingdom was ruled by a zombie king and a spider queen.
One day, the Zombie King had a dream that the world was filled with green grass and flowers, and players were swarming all over the world. There was not a single monster in sight. He woke up with a start. He looked out his window and saw a flaming spaceship crash land somewhere on the ground. He tried to fall back asleep but couldn’t.
The next day, he saw two players, a man and a woman turning the crash landing into a house. There were grass and flowers growing around the crash-house. Later, they came out holding a baby. “Oh no!” he thought “They are re-producing!” A while later, he saw more grass and flowers had grown and a second house had popped up somewhere in the grass. Then more and more players and houses kept growing, until the grass circle was bigger than his castle. Then he saw a mine, with players coming out of it holding iron ore, and players entering it holding pickaxes. He told the Spider Queen, who didn't believe him until she looked out his window. They sent out some scouts, who never returned.
Then, one night, the Zombie King was woken up by a horn and battle cries. He quickly gathered his army, and they rushed out to meet the players. Then began an epic battle. The battle kept coming closer and closer to the castle, until the creepers started blowing holes in the wall when they tried to kill players. Then some players came forwards, pushing a crazy contraption. Creepers walked toward it, ignited, and then were thrown at the castle and exploded. The castle kept getting shot with creepers until it was ruined. The monsters were losing. The Zombie King looked around, and found the Player King. “Aha!” the Zombie King thought “If I kill the Player King, we will rule the world once again.” So he rushed forward to meet the Player King. They started fighting, but the Zombie King had only a stone sword, and the Player King had full body diamond armor and a diamond sword. The Player King kicked the Zombie King, who fell onto the barren wasteland, and while he was recovering, the Player King stabbed the Zombie King with his sword, and the Zombie King died. The monsters were few, and the Player Magician put a curse on the monsters that would make them burn in sunlight. The Magician was not cruel enough to kill them all, so he let a few live. They would burn in sunlight, but some would hide under trees and buildings and re-produce, and that is why the zombies and skeletons burn in sunlight.
