Hey guys! Creeper 1 here with a blog. So, you may be wondering what is this new Eula thing creeper? Well, I'll tell you. The new Minecraft EULA has added some rules for donating on servers. It makes it so you can't have perks for your donator rank. But the thing is, ranks won't be helpful. The new EULA says, donating ranks can only for cosmetics. So here's an example. On Mineplex there's  rank kits. Those won't be there. Also on Minplex the in-game money multiplier you get for donating, you can't have anymore. You WON'T have practically ANY perks for donating. The reason: Mojang got kinda greedy. But I'm trying to fix this. I'm telling you guys, you need to tweet and email Mojang to stop this. One reason, monthly subscription costs more than the permanent payment. So, I hope you guys do what you can to help stop this. Thanks for reading!

I think that it is because of minecraft realms coming out.  Mojang wants more people to buy servers from them.  The new EULA will total destroy servers, nobody will want to donate for trails and hats.  It's hard enough to get people to donate offing OP things anyway.  #RevertMojang  #MinecraftBoycott !

That link shows they will only allow stupid stuff like putting ads in your server and selling trails and hats!

My view on it is that servers are greedy by making money off of Mojangs game without their consent. On top of that many dont realise that if you get anything that effects gameplay such as perks, ingame benefits, etc., for donating, thats not donating, thats pretty much purchasing. Donating is where you give money with good intentions and expect nothing in return. Donating for perks and such also clogged up the multiplayer of Minecraft. By making it easier to make servers, and the people who took advantage of this tactic of "donating" run cruddy servers more often then not and those cruddy servers mix in with good servers here on the PMC server lists.

People make money off of it? Wow thats messed. I thought the donating money went to the server website running the server.

You heard me wrong, I meant most servers use it to help pay for the server hosting, even uses it in this use, they still make money off it, regardless if they put all that money into their servers. I didnt mean they turned a profit off it.

this is not what the EULA says at all, donating is allowed, and buying things that dont affect gameplay is allowed, buying things that do affect gameplay isnt allowed, simple, if you still dont understand, go read this: mojang.com/2014/06/lets-talk-server-monetisation-the-follow-up-qa/

I don't think emails would work. They have other things to do, like come out with updates. And what Mineplex calls "donating" is a pay to play. Donations are giving something without expecting an award. What Mineplex is doing is making people pay to do better. Also: One reason, monthly subscription costs more than the permanent payment. On Mineplex, once you get to the 4-5 month, you've already spent more than the permanent rank. I don't see why this is a reason. You are allowed to donate (for realsies, not for perks), make people buy access to your servers, and have things like pets, or hats. I think some of it is good for people, because no pvp server is fun anymore when you get killed in one hit by a 100$ donator.
