Okay so as you know we want to break glass without loosing it an having to go smelt it again.So why not get a pick!you can break glass and ice but mainly glass.I have been thinking about this for more than a month.

The crafting recipe for this would be

#2 stone #1 stick

2 stone across ether way 2 layer's up

1 stick at the middle bottom layer.I don think that you should use any other mineral besides stone because why would we need two diamond to break such a small item number.(ehh) maybe add the pick to break cake? :P

add cake breaking and make wood version, cobble, iron, and diamond like all other tools.

well i think it would be too much i mean ice and glass (cake ()_()) adding diamond and iron would be like making a sword.Its too much to add a same recipe for such a little use compared to one big use.But the wood i still would not want top add compared to the use of it.It's not needed. stone is the best use because you build up to it to break glass and ice (cake ()_()) kind of like you will build up to make a nether portal (get the diamond make the pick get the obsidian and BAM the nether)
and with the pick (get the cobble get the furnace smelt the cobble and get sticks and you get the pick).

But then it would be stupid.. because every single Tool in minecraft (at least, ones with tools and classes) are from wood ->> diamond. Just making some random stone tool to break glass and ice.. thats not very interesting. And, lots of people make diamond hoes, so.. It could be like for someone who has a lot of diamonds =P
