The problem with AdBlock

Introduction

Hey guys, this is my 3rd blog. Well, AdBlock has become VERY popular. If you don't know what AdBlock is, well, in a nutshell, it's a browser extension that disables ALL adds that may pop up on your browser. This includes YouTube, Facebook, and even good ol' PMC.

The Problem

Now, the purpose of this blog. The reason I am making this blog, is because as a YouTuber (sort of), I am a person that makes small amounts of money off of ads and other things being displayed alongside my videos. Not only this, but some other things run this way. Without ad affiliation and displaying them, most websites/companies do not have a very reliable source of income. That's a problem. If major companies don't have income, you'll have to start paying for things that you use every day (Sometimes, frequently.) The main point I'm saying is, if you use AdBlock, you should stop, because without ads, popular websites and companies might now COST to be used. Such as YouTube, and yes, your dear PMC. If you don't use AdBlock, please don't start, for the sake of everyone else.

Conclusion

For those of you who disagree, feel free to explain in the comments. I hope this taught you something new, or opened your eyes some.

Possibly more blogs in the future....

I understand and I really would stop if they got rid of the freckin ads that start to play during your Youtube vid and have you watch it right in the middle of the video!!!! And the ones that play while you watch the video and they have audio so it ruins the Youtube video!!!! RRRR X( if they stop that crap then sure.

I agree. There was an add on youtube about winning an I pad if you "save it from the toilet" and it would constantly make flushing noises in the middle of a video I was watching

I know this and use adblock anyways, but I disable it on sites that have ads I would actually click. I don't think I've ever clicked an ad that wasn't put up through the site itself(no ad network involved) or Project Wonderful(the only ad network I know of that constantly has good ads). Many sites also have donation buttons/links so that people with adblock can still support them, which you might want to do for your YouTube.
