The RP "Standards" Problem.

Hello, my fellow PMCers. Most of you reading this will be roleplayers, probably. This is simply a short rant.
I hope you like it.

So, lately, I've noticed a bunch of people complaining that RPs today are either not good enough
by their standards, or the people who RP themselves are not good enough. Now, while I am a pretty
bad roleplayer, I've still been in a few RPs here and there. So, thing is, I really hate it when people
complain about things like that. It's true, there are people who could use some work on their post
length, not to mention grammar and spelling. You are right, there are some RPs that aren't
exactly top notch. But that doesn't mean you have to criticize people about it! I've noticed over my
short life that there are a few types of advice. You can either criticize people, and make them look
and maybe even feel GUILTY about their RPing, or you can help people. I've seen that people accept
advice more often when you are kind to them, like telling them what they did wrong in an soft manner,
and then offering to help them. Saying "Your RP standards are low and your grammar sucks blah blah blah"
isn't going to help your cause. So, while I do support good Roleplay, I don't support yelling at people
or "hating on" them because they're not so good at Roleplay. Everyone can be good at RPing, they
just have to be taught how properly. I mean, look at me. My first RP was called "The Chosen", and my RPing
was terrible! I got (slightly) better, and now I can RP decently.

....Alright, while that probably doesn't make sense (after all, I'm tired), I hope you can get the message.
If you didn't feel like reading that, this is the idea in a nutshell: Don't hate on newbies or people who
aren't great at RPing. They need to be nurtured and taught, not prosecuted. Good Night!
