The Story of The Last Man
The winds were blowing hard, everything was flying off the shelves, windows were breaking! It seemed like the world was ending. He gathered his family into the basement, and told them everything was going to be okay...
The storm had stopped. He opened the basement doors, and looked out the window. He couldn’t believe what he had seen, he thought he was dreaming. Everything was in cube form. He went outside to look around...He told his kids to stay inside, his wife stayed with them. Steve went to the back of the house, where he saw a small creature crawling in the shadows of trees. He came closer to it, as the creature came closer to him. Slowly, he reached out to it. It jumped out of the shadows, onto Steve, it was a giant spider! He grabbed a tree limb and wacked the spider off of him. The spider decided to leave him alone, and it ran off into the world. As Steve was watching the spider run away, he heard screams from the house. He rushed to his family to make sure they were alright, though, he was too late. He walked into the door just to find his wife and children's bodies lying on the living room floor, along with 3 bloody arrows. He screamed and swore in agony! A few moments had past, he was still sitting there, crying into his family's arms, wondering what had happened, and hoping it is all just a nightmare. He heard someone’s footsteps behind him, getting closer...and closer...he turned around to find this green creature right in front of him, it started flashing white, and making a weird hissing sound, he backed away just in time. The green creature had exploded everything near it. At this point, he had had it. He got scrap from his exploded house, and made a bench to work on. He went outside, put the bench onto the ground, and made an axe to clear out a piece of land.
After he had cleared the land, he made a bow, arrows, torches, a sword, and a tower. The day was turning into night. He was prepared. He sat down, and waited, and waited, finally he saw something...A purple, human looking thing of sorts. He knew the tall creature wasn’t here to play, so Steve fired a warning shot near the alien. It did nothing; he was still walking towards Steve. He was worried, so he uttered the words, "If you take three more steps I will shoot you!" He kept coming. Steve said again, "I will shoot!" That did nothing. So Steve got his bow ready, and drawled the arrow, he aimed cautiously, because he had a limited amount of arrows. He shot. He saw the arrow fly towards the alien creature. But it just vanished. Steve was in shock, he had no idea where it had gone. He couldn’t look for it because it was pitch black out there. Just then, he heard a snarl, a grunt, and clanking noises. He pulled out a torch, and saw that zombies and skeletons had surrounded him. He had nowhere to go. The only exit to the tower was down a ladder. He had one choice, to fight. He grabbed his sword, climbed down, and started chopping and whacking! There were too many of them, he had taken too much damage, he had been shot with arrows and punched and bit by zombies. He ran for his house and into the basement. He had no food anywhere down there, and he was getting hungry. He knew that this was the end. The zombies were coming, and the skeletons were shooting their bows. He looked out the basement window to find that the sun was coming out. He thought to himself that the zombies would burn, considering all the stories that had been told about zombies and the sunlight. Sure enough, both zombies and the skeletons were burning. He healed his wounds with bandages, and ran outside to finish off the evil creatures. He had done it, after everything he had lost, he had survived this world, full of zombies, skeletons, giant spiders, and the unknown. He felt important, overwhelmed, and victorious. He was ready for the next day.
