Hey PMC! I've decided to write stories about Planet Minecraft as if it were an actual planet and that the members are the inhabitants! If you want to be in a story (as a character) leave your idea in a comment or PM me. This took me a few hours to write, so please enjoy :)

A Day in the Life of a Penguin & Panda Couple ~ Featuring fabric softener



The night sky was dead black, clouds keeping the moon and stars at bay. The wind whipped through Wertuo s hair and whistled through the trees. Yukio s face, half hidden in shadow, was unmoving and focused. He got to his feet and peeked over the rotting log they were using as a feeble wind barrier. A huge lit up building stood in the middle of an open field. The building was the secret stronghold which contained the triggers for all of PMCo s nuclear warheads. It was well defended, for now.



He made a slight nod to Wertu as she climbed to her feet, and with the same motion withdrew a small container of fabric softener from her fox fur jacket. Although, it wasno t any normal fabric softener; the bottle had a cute fluffy duck on one side but just underneath its beak was a polished metal button. Wertu crouched down and snuck out from behind the log, dashing and twisting from tree to tree. Yuki close behind. Once they were almost at the tree line they got onto their stomachs and crawled the remaining distance to the field. o Io m arming it nowo whispered Wertu and Yuki responded with an understanding nod.



Wertu wiped the sweat off her brow, let out a long breath, pressed the button and threw the fabric softener as close to the building as she could. The two quickly shuffled back and covered each othero s heads as the fabric softener hit the ground. The container instantly exploded in green flames, spewing green smoke throughout the field. Screams of pain ripped through the cold air as the building was enclosed by the dense smoke.



Wertu and Yuki bunched closer as tendrils of the smoke blew towards them, sizzling on contact with their clothes and the trees around them. Over a short period of time the smoke dispersed and the couple got to their feet, scanning the devastated field. The tall grass had turned black and was gently blowing away on the wind. The white wall closest to the explosion had collapsed and turned a sickly greyish green. The coast was completely clear. Yuki turned to Wertu and grinned o Leto s go.o



The two stepped out of the cover from the trees and began to walk towards a small gap in the collapsed wall. The field was rough underfoot, so they treaded carefully but moved as swiftly as they could. Once they were about halfway to the field the wind picked up and lashed them with freezing torrents of rain. The two hunched lower to keep warm and pressed on, faster now. When they were almost at the building they heard a frenzied shout from above o People! There are people coming!o They glanced up through the sheets of rain and saw the outline of a tall guard carrying a machine gun. o Run!o Yuki shouted!



Shouting guards began to pour back onto the roof and ready their weapons. Yuki and Wertu were metres from the wall when gunfire began to hammer from above and the dirt began to explode in small tufts around them. Yuki reached the gap first and dived through, Wertu slipped in behind him moments later. They had come through into a whitewashed corridor with several wooden doors traveling up the side. Yuki puffed his cheeks and asked o You ok?o



o Yeah, you?o laughed Wertu o Leto s keep moving though,o she added as a faint shout echoed down the corridor from their fight. Yuki nodded and they turned left and ran up the corridor. After turning right down another corridor, down a flight of stairs, and slowly deeper into the complex the sounds of alarms and running guards began to escalate. Eventually they turned a corner and skidded head on into a patrol.



The guards raised their pistols in unison and a man in the lead with a blue beret shouted o Stay where you are and put your hands in the air!o Wertu glanced at Yuki and smiled. Yuki nudged his slightly crooked glasses into place and suddenly threw a small bundle of cables which he pulled from his leather jacket. They flew all over the corridor, but upon impact an electric net shot between the cables trapping the guards in a burning chaos. Yuki grabbed Wertuo s hand and they doubled back. They turned down another passage ending in with a large wooden double door. o Thereo s still another way we can get to the control roomo Yuki snickered as he pushed the door open. o But, we should probably have had these out by nowo he stated as he shut the door and pulled two pistols from his jacket, handing one over to Wertu. o Thanks,o muttered Wertu as she released the safety on the gun, o leto s go.o



They set off again stopping at each corner and cautiously turning with the guns raised. They started a couple small skirmishes with unsuspecting guards which they won without any hassle. After a short time Yuki signalled to stop and peeked around a corner. Around the corner a guard with a powerful machine gun stood guard in front of a large metal door. Yuki let out a deep breath then darted around the corner. He fired two loud blasts from his gun into the chest of the guard who fell gasping to the floor. The guard kept opening and closing his mouth, but no sound came outo ¦ instead blood trickled over his lips. Wertu walked around the corner and shot him in the head, spraying the corridor with droplets of warm blood. o Leto s go in,o she smiled at Yuki as she stepped over the guardo s body and plugged a small device into the password box. o Just a second,o she murmured as number sequences began to flash across the screen.



The password box flashed green and was accompanied with a satisfying clunk. Yuki and Wertu crouched, raised their guns, and pushed through the door. The control room was quite small; it was a perfect half circle with computers on the curved wall. Above the computers the wall was made entirely of glass which overlooked an underground launch site filled with towering missiles. Yuki looked at Wertu and asked o Which computer contains the orders for the firing sequence?o Wertu nodded her head towards a cabinet to the right; o Io m pretty sure ito s hidden in thereo she beamed, her eyes glowing with a wild fire. The two of them started to walk towards the cabinet but the door slammed shut behind them. o Dono t. move.o spat a thickly accented female voice o and drop the guns.o They froze, the hair prickling on the back of their necks as they let the pistols slip between their fingers, clattering loudly as they hit the tiled floor. o Turn around,o she ordered, o I do like to see my pretty little victimo s faceso she added.



Yuki and Wertu slowly turned to face the door. In the shadows stood the outline of a busty woman, her arms crossed and a silenced pistol dangling from her fingers. o Why are you here?o she asked as she stepped forwards into the light revealing her waist length blonde hair and dark military uniform. She could only be the one people knew as The Bad Wolf. o Why should we tell you,o demanded Yuki. o Because Io m going to shoot you,o she cackled. She lifted the gun and flicked off the safety, o Now, please tell me why youo re here or Io ll shoot you and move on to your lovely lady friend.o Yukio s face hardened and he looked over at Wertu. Wertu smiled and added o ito s fine.o As Yuki turned back to face The Bad Wolf they both ducked down and grabbed their guns.



o Stop!o she shrieked and sent a bullet whizzing towards Yuki but he was already rolling behind a desk. Wertu opened fire at the same time and caught The Bad Wolf on the shoulder. She cried out and dashed behind the desks at the far end of the room. o Io ll arm the missiles if you cover me,o shouted Wertu as blasts were exchanged from both ends of the room. o Go!o Yuki ordered, o Io ve got your back!o



Wertu cautiously backed towards the cabinet, swung it wide open, took a deep breath, looked at Yuki, and turned her back on the fight. Inside the cabinet looked empty but Wertu hooked her fingers into a seam and pulled out a fake back. Behind the fake back was a large panel covered with numerous buttons, switches, and display screens. She leant close, examining the panel and biting her fingernails. o This looks like it,o she grinned as she plugged in her hacking device. She leant back and glanced over her shoulder. Yuki was keeping The Bad Wolf pinned behind the desks at the other end of the room, although she was letting off the occasional blind shot.



The panel beeped and Wertu turned back to be greeted by the display panels scrolling the word ARMED. She smiled widely and flicked up a protective box over a red button. o Goodnight everyone,o she chuckled and pushed her thumb down on the button.



The room erupted with the sound of the missiles launching on the other side of the thick glass. Wertu pulled her device out of the panel and pocketed it, o Yuki, lets finish this,o she shouted over the din. Suddenly The Bad Wolf leaped out from her cover and sprayed a thin, deadly wave of bullets around the room. Wertu screamed as she felt a bullet rip through her leg. She fell to the floor, tears of pain encrusting her eyes as she felt as though a white hot poker was plunging repeatedly through her leg. Yuki stood up with a face of contorted rage and shot back three well aimed bullets straight into The Bad Wolfs chest. The Bad Wolf gasped and fell to the floor clutching at her chest trying in vain to prevent what had already occurred.



Yuki turned back to Wertu whose face was twisted with pain. She was wrapping a piece of cloth from her sleeve around her leg to stop as much blood loss as possible. o Here let me,o said Yuki, a look of concern washing over his face as he finished tying off the blood soaked fabric. o Come on, leto s go,o Yuki whispered as he lifted Wertu in his arms. She nodded, a dark fire burning in her eyes. Yuki strode towards the door and opened it, careful to jolt Wertu as little as possible.



Just as they stepped through the door Yuki noticed The Bad Wolf stir and reach inside her uniform. Instantly she flicked open her eyes and rolled a live grenade through the open door, o A small parting gift,o she slurred and blew them a kiss. She then pulled up her sleeve and twisted a small broach which beeped once and then she vanished in a flash of light. Yuki cursed and kicked the grenade as hard as he could back into the control room, turned, and ran. The explosion sent a shockwave through the passage knocking Yuki and Wertu flying and collapsing part of the ceiling.



The couple lay on the floor for a second, dazed. Eventually Yuki got up and looked around. Dust mingled with flames was all the two could see, but the passage was clear enough for them to continue. o Are you ok?o Wertu asked when Yuki grunted loudly, o yes, just a cut or bruise here and there,o he laughed back o are you alright?o he added concerned. o Io m ok, but leto s get out of here now,o she responded. Yuki reached over and grabbed her hand, o leto s go then,o he replied. Yuki lifted Wertu up again and they set off at a light jog, not encountering a single guard. They continued like this all the way to the gap in the wall where they slowed and squeezed through.



A voice amplified by a loud speaker clicked on once they stepped outside o Stop where you are! The building is completely surrounded and charges have been laid to blow it up if you go back inside. Surrender your arms immediately.o Yuki gazed out at the scene in front of them and saw that what the man had said was true. Vehicles ringed the building and guards stood with their weapons trained at the opening. A sudden flash and bang from right in front of him made Yuki jump as he noticed Wertu had raised her pistol and shot the guard with the loud speaker who toppled loudly to the ground. o What the hell,o Yuki exclaimed surprised as he looked down at Wertu; she winked and pulled another small device from her fox fur jacket. She clicked a button and just as the guards opened fire a faint purple mist enveloped the two of them. The guards shouted in surprise when the bullets hit the mist and instantly slowed to a snailo s pace. o I thought it might come in handy,o Wertu smiled faintly, sighed, and and closed her eyes. Yuki yelped and put her on the ground and checked her pulse, he breathed out heavily as he felt a faint pulse. She was still alive, barely.



Yuki looked up and brushed a couple of the slow-motion bullets to the side, he had a plan but he wasno t sure if ito d work. He lifted Wertu into his arms and waitedo ¦ listening. A second later the gunfire dwindled significantly, they were reloading. Yuki roared and charged at the closest vehicle, a small military car. He reached it in a matter of seconds and kicked a guard Spartan style out of the way. He reached forward and pulled the drivero s door open and put Wertu into the passengero s seat. The gunfire began to erupt around him once more as he punched an attacking guard in the face, slammed the car door shut, and reached for the keys. His heart leaped when he found them in the ignition. He started the engine and floored the pedal as the wind shield exploded and bullets rained down upon them like hail in an ice storm.



Yuki managed to pull the car away from the circle and begin to drive away, knowing that the guards would be in hot pursuit. He looked around for some sort of trail and eventually spotted a road on the other side of the facility. He headed towards it, swerving to avoid a jeep trying to ram them. He made it to the road and managed to pick up the speed once the tyres gained traction and he shot away from the ambush.



Yuki sighed with relief and drove away as fast as he could, glancing over at Wertu. She had gone very pale and was still unconscious, Yuki sped up. After a short time he had put a considerable distance between himself and their pursuers and drove off the road into some dense thickets. He turned off the headlights and cautiously drove away from the road for a kilometre or so. Once he felt safe there was enough distance from their pursuers he stopped the car and killed the engine. He glanced over at Wertu and gave her hand a faint squeeze, o weo re getting out of here,o he said confidently. Yuki jumped out of the car and checked the boot for a first aid pack which he found under a pile of AK-47s.



He ran back around to Wertu and pulled a tub of aid cream and blood transfusion pill from the first aid kit, o this should do the trick,o he murmured. He lifted her leg and pulled off the sodden bandage and dropping it on the floor. He then opened the tub of aid cream and applied a large dollop to the leg, it made a soft crackling sound as it set around the wound and turned the colour of her skin. Next, Yuki opened Wertuo s mouth and pushed the blood transfusion pill down her throat. Instantly her body began to warm up and the colour returned to her cheeks. Wertu opened her eyes and made a slight cough, o did we get out?,o she stuttered. o We got out,o Yuki smiled, as the sound of helicopter blades grew louder and louder. Yuki walked around to the drivero s seat and flashed the headlights three times.



A jet black helicopter flew into sight, its slicing rotors stopping just overhead. After a moment a rope ladder fell down and Yuki and a quickly rejuvenating Wertu walked over to it. o Awesome job Wertu,o Yuki beamed. o You too, of course,o Wertu replied as she reached forwards and linked her fingers with his. They both grabbed hold of the rope ladder with their spare hands and stepped onto the lowest rungs. The ladder began to pull back up to the helicopter and the couple were pulled up into the endless expanse of the night sky.
