People say that he is fake
But what is the truth about him?
This all started when a minecrafter was mining and he fell into a man-made cave. It was a default steve skin but with white eyes. About 1 week later more people had seen him so people were contacting mojang about him. They named him Herobrine and when people asked notch his reply was maybe!
Then someone decided to make a Herobrine mod, which people say it was made to prove that he wasn't real.
Also mojang has put in very lots of updates put

but its not true
