Hey guys ! This blog will talk about who GGJ16 really is, and his thoughts, with the answers to the questions I was given previously. Again, I hope you guys will appreciate this text, as It is mostly made with love.
First of all, I can’t really thank you enough for all the suport I’ve been receiving since I joined PMC. This is definetely a very nice site, and I met many of my buddies and mates thanks to Planet Minecraft.
Now that I reached that important sum of subscribers, which is a very special moment for me, I would like to thank every single one of my subscribers as, by subbing me, they have made me keep willing to post good quality content in this site.
I am sorry I haven’t been able to post much stuff recently, but daily problems have made me busy most of my spare time; but now this time seems to be over and I hope to show you more stuff from me soon. As I announced the other time, my next posts will be varied.
Now, let’s start with all the answers to the questions I liked and gathered them here. I already told the "interviewers" if I would answer their question through this blog, so you may find your question here.
1-Where do you live ?
You may be able to find a quick text saying where I live, but I can repeat it. I live in a small town in the hills near Barcelona, for me one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I am proud to live here, and I am also proud of líving in my region of Catalonia, which is commonly my main inspiration in both maps and builds.
2-What are your hobbies outside from PMC ? (Sports, Work, Craft, etc.)
This year I have started University, which means I have less free time than I used to. But beside Minecraft, I really like doing some other things. I enjoy doing walks through the forest, which is, apart from home gym, my way to keep fit. But when the time comes, I love skiing (in winter of course) and scuba diving (in summer).
3-What is your favourite genre of music ?
I do like all styles of music, but I am keen to almost all types of electronic music. I’ve been listening to it since I have memories, and I still enjoy listening to it. I am particularly keen on Electro, House, Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Drumstep, and many more styles.
4-What are your future ambitions?
I would like to get my degree and work for a job I appreciate and makes me be happy. Is it hard to achieve that ?
5-Do you play any instrument ?
No, I don’t play any instrument now. I used to play the violin when I was a child; I played it for 7 years. I wasn’t really bad at it, but I eventually decided to leave it, as it took too much time.
6-What other games do you play ?
Apart from Minecraft, I play mostly Battlefield 4 (PS3). I also started recently playing good old PC games I loved when I was a kid. The other day I finished Need For Speed Underground 2. And I wasn’t disappointed. If anyone is further interested, I used the 3000GT until the end.
7-What are your plans in the future ? (work)
I am currently taking a degree in Environmental Sciencies. When I finish the degree, I would like to work as an Environmentalist in a private company. Taking care of the natural environment is a matter that worries me, and I would like to contribute to solve this problem in a local way, apart from earning a líving.
8-What do you think about Minecraft at this point in time? Do you think it will die out?
I would really like to think that Minecraft won’t die out, but I am not really sure about this. I love it as it’s almost the perfect way to express your imagination, and this kind of tools shall stay forever. Anyway, I feel Minecraft is in a good time, although not in its best ones. I like the new updates, although some features may not be very useful for the way I use minecraft.
9-Who is your rolemodel in PMC ?
I don’t really have any favourite builder in PMC, but I would say I may have two rolemodels; one for each creative site I got in Minecraft (Building and mapping). I really love how NinamanOfficial builds, and I hope to get to be like him at some time. On the other hand, I love the work many mappers do and have released recently, and this motivates me to do better maps.
10-How do you plan big builds (especially SKA) ?
Well, I must tell you I did not plan SKA in any way. We are talking about a long ago, and I just started building while also planning what to do next.
In the other build you could consider big, which I feel is Meridian Point, I planned it better. I made a sketch of how I would like it to look like, considering the time I had to finish all the city.
11-How do you get the inspiration?
As I already said in the beggining, I mostly take inspiration of the real life buildings, and get my own version. I also used to make a lot of concepts and designs I would like to do in Minecraft.
Now that I started a new stage of my time in PMC, I really take a lot of inspiration from my home region, Catalonia, which I feel it has a lot to offer. Visiting diferent places is the best way to get inspired, as when I get inspired by something in particular I instantly decided if I could do that in Minecraft ( a clear exemple of this may be my house Llora ).
That seems to be the end of this “múltiple-interviewers” Interview. I hope it will be useful to you to get to know me a bit better. Once again, thank you all for following my posts !
Now have fun !
