Tips for New Map Creators

Find  An Original Idea/Variation

What I mean by that is, try to find an idea for a map no one has done before, or try to make a map not super similar to another map, but share the same genral idea. This will help it gain more popularity and make it a bit more enjoyable than just copying someone else's map.

Expariment

Sometimes, new ideas can be tricky, or trying to build the things for your map you thought up in your head aren't easy. Try seeing what is possible, and what isn't, for you building skill. And try to improve as you go. Just don't spend TOO MUCH TIME on stuff like this, or you'll go no where.

Ask for help



Doing a really complicated map can take more than one person to build. Try asking a friend if they are more skilled at building, or if you are very skilled, just stuck, look at other people's maps, or ask another map creator for help.

Have Fun!

If you don't have fun making maps, then why are you doing it? I know, making maps can get a little boring at times, but if you don't enjoy it, don't do it. Be proud of your work, even if you'll look back at it and it might seem a little derpy XD. Also, if you make a map that isn't fun to you, more than likely, no one else will think it is fun. So, try your best, and build on!
