Tolerance is officially defined as a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward opinions and practices that differ from one's own. That's a bit wordy, so I'll put it in my own terms. Tolerance is basically when people are ok with things that differ from how they do things. There are many kinds of important tolerance. Racial tolerance and religious tolerance, for example, are very important.

Intolerance is the opposite of tolerance. It is when people aren't ok with things that they don't do themselves. These definitions aren't exact, but give you the idea. Intolerance is important as well. For example, if people tolerated rule breakers, PMC would be a madhouse, with spam, stolen work, and may as well change it's name to Skindex.

Like I said earlier, many people on PMC don't practice tolerance. Now, some of this intolerance is against rule breakers, but that's not what I want to talk about here. That's a good thing, and moderators do it all the time. What I'm talking about is all these blogs that I see. I mainly see one topic repeated, and repeated, and repeated. and that topic is... "STAHP BUDDER/BUTTER!" or, with another variation, "STAHP GOLD, IT'S BUDDER/BUTTER!".

If you carefully read the rules, it says "[size=150%][size=70%]Posts, submissions or content which is created to split/separate the community, or flames the community, will be deleted and subject to banning at moderators' discretion... [/size][/size]
[size=150%][size=70%] You are expected to work together with others, not work against them." I'm absolutely positive that butter/budder is splitting the community. I see blogs for it, blogs against it, and in every single one, people are fighting in the comments. These need to stop. They are separating the Planet MineCraft community. Why make an enemy when you can make a friend? A friend will protect you, while an enemy will back stab you. A friend will enjoy time with you, chatting, while an enemy will enjoy time with you, mocking you and putting you down.

Basically what this blog boils down to is: We all need to practice tolerance a little more. Tolerance for beginners, who will never be absolutely perfect when they start. If they have an illegal upload, don't comment on it with tons of spam, claiming they should die and leave PMC forever, as you are being worse than they are. All you have to do is quietly report the skin and be done with it. Tolerance for nicknames, such as budder/butter, and tolerance even for immaturity, as we all weren't exactly using adult behavior at one point in our lives.

When people write these blogs, or write hateful comments, you think you're helping. You're not. How would you like it if somebody had made their first skin, and were super proud of it, and posted it on Planet Minecraft, expecting it to maybe even get a diamond or two, and then you come along and crush their dreams, telling them to kill themselves, and never to skin again, and that their shading is crap. This really hurts them. You didn't need to do that. If you don't like the skin, simply move on. What happens if they actually do kill themselves? Could you live with that? I hope not! Why can't you let people call gold budder/butter, or let people call budder/butter gold? It's really just a nickname. Just like people call me jet, or jetfrog, or jetfrog29 (Muahaha! I will destroy the universe!). It all means the same thing! Just let it be. If you don't like it, don't call it that, but don't hate on people. It doesn't help you at all!
