The Royal Navy and South Haven's way to Verace is now wide open after the Empire's crushing defeat at the Battle of Ventis Gulf permitting the landing of the Lanierian army. It is the belief of the Silver Empire's command that in order to take pressure off of the front lines in the fields of Sunkschiff that a counteroffensive must take place to the south. With pressure from the west taken off as Lanier's forces are relocated to the east of Verace, the Imperium reallocates their forces to make an advance towards the south to threaten Lanier's production facilities and relieve pressure off of Verace in order to regroup.
The first four Regiments advance down the road towards the front ready to fight to the last man and last ship to slow the enemy's advance. The battleship "Domitrian" tasked with supporting the advance makes a fly-by to raise morale for the outnumbered forces though the crew believes that victory is not to come. The bulk of what remains of the Empire's fleet has been withdrawn for the last stand against the combined forces of Lanier and South Haven leaving the Domitrian with a single older escort carrier as support against the Royal Navy's fleet at Fillanel...
