Sometimes you just want to build something in Minecraft. So you put a ton of effort and work on it all day. Finally! I have finished my mansion! Then you go to bed, get on the bus, and go to school. You come back on minecraft to figure out it was completely destroyed and covered in lava. Then you noticed a sign saying "lol ur house sucked" So you get an admin and find out who griefed it. They give you a name and ban the person. One question.... "Why?" People work hard on their creations. It isn't easy to make something amazing. Someone makes something really great then someone just ruins it. Has this happened to you before? Some people have hard lives and use minecraft to escape reality. Not just to be enraged and angry. I mean if you grief someone as a joke, then roll it back or rebuild it, atleast you are less of a jerk. I am not talking about faction servers where it is encouraged. I am talking about just normal survival servers. It just isn't right. Well, that is my opinion.

True, it's not right. I agree on that one.

However, most servers have something where you can prevent griefing or restore it. It is easy to ask an admin to apply a protected area around your house. Most will do so for you.

However, in some cases, griefing is allowed and encouraged. In that case, nothing at all can be done about that. You just have to live with it.
