Hello there, I am going to show you how to convert texture files(1.5.2 -) to the new format (1.6 +).We can do this using a tool called TextureEnder. <-- Click TextureEnder to download it.
First what we need is TextureEnder, The Texture Pack we want to convert, put TextureEnder and the old texture pack in this directory, "C:Users%USERNAME%Desktop".
MAKE SURE THE TEXTURE PACK IS IN ZIP FORM!
Right click on TextureEnder, and hover the mouse over Open with, then click Java(TM) Platform SE binary.
It should make a window and then a box in the window, on the box inside the window click desktop and click the texture pack. Then click Convert Packs.
Wait for it to finish, then drag the new texture pack its name should be the name of the texture pack - converted- random numbers, drag that to the .minecraft folder, push Windows Key + R and type in %appdata% and push enter, then click .minecraft, browse to the resource packs folder, and open it, that is where the new one should be.
Thanks for reading,
Jturnism
P.S. This is my first real tutorial.
TextureEnder was made by Mojang, and the link for TextureEnder is the original link from them.
