my understanding is that there is a hacker that hacks some peoples worlds or servers so that they can join and mess it up and greif on it. this guy who is hacking is really good and has been classified as a glitch but in reality is a hacker who is just too cool for school.him showing up in so many worlds and servers, messing things up, he was given a story, a name, and a background. but, there being many players worlds to hack, considering there are nearly 10,000,000 people who have the game, there is only 1 in 10,000,000 of a chance he will choose your world or server to hack

(Now collierdude is talking) I think this theory is right guys. Try to make an account on minecraft.net named Herobrine. It is taken. go to the link minecraft.net/skin/Herobrine.jpg and it will download the Herobrine skin. This can conclude that Herobrine is a real player. He may hack peoples singleplayer worlds and get on them. There have been many sightings of him and Mojang tried to cover it up. Herobrine is not in the game, he is a player.
After all, that is just my theory.

1. Don't think it's possible to "hack" single player worlds
2. "there are nearly 10,000,000 people who have the game, there is only 1 in 10,000,000" that would mean that Herbrine has only visited one person...
3. Mojang just created the Herbrine account to scare people

Well thats why maybe few have seen him because he hacks random worlds. You haven't seen him beacause you have a 1% chance of him coming onto your world. And it is possible to hack singleplayer worlds as long as they are hooked up to internet.

Right, but 1% is different than 10,000,000 out of 10,000,000. 1% is 1/100 and 10,000,000 out of 10,000,000 would be 100%. Big difference. As for hacking the singleplayer worlds, it wouldn't be the worlds that would be hacked, but rather the computer, giving the hacker access to the worlds.
