A newbie's guide to understanding the XP system and gaining some for themselves.

Levels and Experience Points:

Experience Points or 'XP' for short is a feature on Planet Minecraft that allows a user to 'Level Up' and unlock special text (Classes) that appear under your current Level. The higher the Level you currently have the better the classes you can choose from.

Ranks:


Ranks are a Sub-Section of Classes, These usually change the first word in a Class depending on the current level you have.
There are currently 11 Acquirable ranks a user can earn by reaching a certain level which are listed below:
Level 1 - Rank: New
Level 2 - Rank: Apprentice
Level 10 - Rank: Journeyman
Level 20 - Rank: Expert
Level 30 - Rank: Artisan
Level 40 - Rank: Master
Level 50 - Rank: Grandmaster
Level 60 - Rank: High Grandmaster
Level 70 - Rank: Legendary
Level 80 - Rank: Elite
Level 100 - Rank: Transcendent

Submissions:
Submissions are currently the only way to earn XP on Planet Minecraft. In involves in a user uploading content for another user to view. Submissions can be favourited, recieve a Diamond and have comments added to them; Each of these actions will result in the uploader gaining a set amount of XP depending on how many the submission has recieved.

Gaining XP:
Ahh, The part i'm certain most of you have come to check out. As hard as it may sound Gaining XP isn't all that difficult. Submissions that have a large amount of effort attached tend to attract more users hence resulting in a larger XP reward. However submissions that have just been slapped together in a hurry won't tend to gather too much attention which means the submitter will not gain a large amount of XP. Another thing to note is XP is not fast to earn, Patience is key to gaining XP fast. You won't get to Level 100 overnight, It takes time to become the best.

Effective methods to "Spice up" your Submission:

• Create high-quality Screenshots to showcase your Submission. Invest in Shader mods to make your screenshots look alot better.
  
• Describe what your content does the best you can; The more information you can provide the more likely you are to gain a lot of Experience and Level Up faster.
  
• Ask the community on points where your submission can improve.
  
• Listen to your downloaders; If other users suggest you to add something to it then if it fits on what the submission is about you should consider it.
  
• Upload a variety of different submissions. Uploading a bunch of skins won't really look good on your profile. Users want a variety of different things to try out.
  
• Put the most amount of effort you can into submissions, This might not sound important but it is. The more effort you put into a submission the more XP you will gain.
