“How long do you think it will take for us to get to France, Sir?” Kaden piped up.

“About 2 days. Need to stop in Northern Europe first, then go to France, and then Oxford.” He replied.

“Okay! Thanks.” Kaden gave him a thumbs up.

It didn’t seem long before we had arrived in Northern Europe, the ship came to a stop and workers started to fasten the ship to the dock and take off a bunch of the boxes and crates from the deck and haul. We waited up on the ship for Serl to come back, I had noticed his name from when the worker from the Faroe Islands dock talked to him about where we needed to go and our situation. I looked around, there were a lot of people.. However, one caught my interest. A boy, dressed in green and brown, sitting in a tree, waving to us?

“Hi!” I mouthed to him, waving back.

“Hi. Can you come here?” He mouthed back, continuing to wave.

I nodded and walked down the ship.
“Where ya goin’ lad?” Serl stopped me.

“Someone asked me to come to them, don’t leave without me please.” He nodded to my reply.

I walked up to the boy, he slid down the tree and stood in front of me.

“Why did you want me to come?” I asked him.

“Where’s that ship going?” He pointed to the one me and my friends were on.

“France then Oxford.”

“Can I get on it? I need to get to somewhere in France.”

“I mean.. We can ask the captain?” I shrugged.

“Alright, let’s go.”

I walked him up to the captain, he arched an eyebrow at me. “Who’s this?” He asked.

“Not sure, he says he wants to get on to go to somewhere in France.”

“Alright then.. What’s your name, young man?” Serl looked at the boy.

“Zephyr.” He slumped his shoulders. Serl nodded and gestured for us to get back onto the ship.

We both got on and went up to the wheelhouse, Calypso waved to Zephyr.

“Hi!! Who are you?” Calypso stood, getting.. Quite close to him.

“I’m Zephyr.” He shrugged.

I sat down in the corner as the two talked, I went back into my thoughts.. My own world, not paying attention really to what those two were actually doing. Occasionally, I would listen to a few words but not much. Kaden eventually joined the conversation as each one of them figured out that all three of them were born in France and spoke fluent French. We eventually continued going, I stayed silent for most of the time. Zephyr had moved to talk to Sorren who I realized had quite similar personalities.. This was going to be fun.

Not long after it was getting dark outside, and the ship docked at a nearby port. We were directed into the haul in case it rained or something of that sort. I settled down in the corner, folded my arms and looked upwards a bit, wondering what my mother was doing. It had become a habit of mine to think about this subject.. I wondered what she was thinking and what she had on her mind. I closed my eyes and pushed away my thoughts of the moment, deciding to try and sleep.

When I opened my eyes, I felt groggy and tired.. However there wasn’t much light around. I looked around and realized where I was.. Not this again.. I was in the dream I had before. That weird dream! Why did this happen again?!

“Hello? Why am I here again?” I called out.

“To finish what you started of course! Our visit was cut short. You know, you should always finish what has been started.” Something said back.. It wasn’t the voice from before.. But a smoother one. Not as raspy.

“But I didn’t start anything?”

“A creature informed me he tried to show you something, yet you were trapped in the wall and woken up by another human.”

“Then take me to the place where you wanted me to be.”

“Alright then.. Follow me.”

A silver colored light appeared and slowly began guiding me down a similar path the gold light had taken me in the dream before. It took me to a small village that was behind the cave walls, however still had the bioluminescent plants and floral feel to it.

“This is nice.” I said to the silver light.

“Indeed it is.” It replied. “Follow me over here.”

I followed it and it showed me a large well, it was almost overflowing.

“Why have you brought me here?”

“This well is the heart of our city, it gives us water and life. But a stone golem comes every afternoon and takes the water out of it. He keeps us captive in this place.” It said, hovering low to the ground.

“I’m not very good at confrontation or.. Fighting.. Or anything that has to do with violence..”

“Oh. You see, if something may happen to you, You will be alright.”

“Err- I don’t think I would be. I, unfortunately, decline your request.”

“Alright then.. May your travels be safe.” It said, rolling quickly.

I was then jolted awake in an instant by something I didn’t know.. All I did know was that Calypso was in front of me again and that the ship was already moving. It was light outside, I must have overslept again because of the weird dream.. It tended to do that.

“Are you all good?”

“Yeah. Just a dream.” I shrugged.

“Alright.. Let’s go up to Serl!” Calypso said, gesturing for me to follow.

We climbed out of the haul and went up to where Serl, Kaden, Sorren and Zephyr were talking. I didn’t have much of a clue of what they were saying, as Kaden and Zephyr were speaking French. Sorren kind of just.. Sat there. It was quite funny.

“Good mornin’ boys.” Serl said, not making eye contact.

“Morning.” I waved.

“We should be in France by mid-day.”

“Oh, that is nice to hear! Thanks, Mr Captain Serl Sir.” Calypso grinned at him. He nodded.

Me and Calypso took a seat in the back with the others. Calypso ended up joining the conversation as I sat in the corner by myself, I didn’t mind it really and I already suspected he would join them once we sat down. I thought to myself a bit, looking around at the wide spear body of water.. Truly seemed endless even though I knew it wasn’t. A few hours ticked by as I waited for our arrival in France, where we would search for Calypso’s mother. I listened into the conversation the others were having occasionally, however the majority of it was in French.

“We'll be arriving in France shortly.” Serl said abruptly.

“Oh good.” I replied, unsure what else to say.

We pulled into the docks of France, I surprisingly recognized the area. We were honestly quite close to where Calypso lived. That was a good side.

“Cmon, people! I don’t want my mother to destroy something looking for me!” Calypso giggled, joking with us.

We informed Serl where we were going and he nodded, saying he would wait for us. We got off the ship and started down a dirt pathway with Calypso in the lead. He apparently knew where we were going so we just followed him. I wondered what was actually going to happen once we got to Calypso’s mother.. But at least we were here. This was for sure going to be interesting.
