Why I started playing Minecraft

I was a hardcore gamer, playing everything I could get my hands on and not finishing nearly as many games as I wanted. This is what got my friends who played Minecraft when it was in Beta to start pestering me to Minecraft with them they said i'd do great things. I always laughed and said you punch tree's and make things I have a crate of Legos for that. They would lay off for a week or so then start up. Well after three months of this I finally said i'd try it. This got them off my back for awhile longer. Then being the Xbox player I am I saw I had enough credits for the Xbox version... This was it I was hooked. Two years is the time I spent on there before considering getting the PC version. Over 1600hrs on the xbox online and I can tell you it is nothing compared to the PC version. Though on xbox I had 10 ppl on my world all the time. So much so I had to leave one of my Xboxs online so my friends could play all the time. After awhile I told them i had to try something new and they laughed and said PC Minecraft. They were right it was totally new again and the things you could so were unlimited. I got addicted again and now after 6months I am just as happy now as when I got the game.

So my advice to those on the fence about playing or wanting a reason to keep playing is DO it! This game ahas so much to offer and so many ways to play. I have seen so many neat worlds and ideas come to life that there is no reason all ages cant play this game. If the kids are too young get the Xbox version if that one is too simple get them PC and if they are too mobile get the mobile version. lol

I just wanted to write a blog about why I started playing Minecraft and why i'm still here playing it. I will be minecrafting forever and my legos ya I still play with them, but now they are the blueprints for some of my greatest creations in minecraft.
