Why no superflat projects? :(

The first world I ever had was a super flat, and I really wanted to show everyone my awesome world, but super flat isn't allowed? Why? What's the problem with super flat? But I'm not saying your against it... If you somehow get around this problem, lots more people would enjoy super flat worlds and everything it has to offer!

If I had to answer based on my own opinion, I would say because flat things usually (not always) look pretty bad. I personally hate superflat worlds, because I prefer building to the terrain or making terrain of my own. Can't say for sure tho.
