Why i chose this question
Well in one of my blog post (Why do people create youtubes) we discussed pewdiepie... and why he is so popular... keep reading and you will see why he is so popular.
Research:
All of you reading this article know that pewdiepie does all diffrent types of games, not just one single topic, that gets booring, he keeps his channel fun not booring, he also shows his fans that he appreciates all of the support that they give him, and also the amount of subscribers is a BIG play on why he is popular, now i know pewdiepie has nothing to do with minecraft but i still want to do this
Conclusion
I have come to the conclusion that the reason why pewdiepie is so popular... is because he entertains all of his fans, by doing a mix of games

A lot of his viewers want to be like him in some way. Marzia actually has a bigger part in it than you might think.
A lot of his viewers watch him for tips on how their gaming channels might get more views.
It's because of how YouTube works. The youtube algorithm promotes people who have a long watch time (Watch time: how long people what the video). Youtube also promotes channels when someone continues to watch more of the videos in one session, because they think that this means that quality channel.
And since he does gaming videos, people will watch it while doing other things, and they'll watch multiple videos in a row. This is why gaming videos are so popular, because they get so much promotion from YouTube, because of how long people watch. Now, why Pewdiepie?
Because he is international. YouTube promotes channels within the area they're made. Example: A video made in the US will get promoted in the US only. When he started his channel Pewds was in Sweden I believe, so YouTube promoted his videos in Sweden. But since then he has move to Italy, it gets promoted there too. And since he speaks English he also gets promoted in the US as well. So the YouTube algorithm loves him, basically, promoting him up the butt.
oh also something about people enjoying his videos or something.
