Why PMC is Popular

Many people have their own opinions on why PMC is so popular and some would say it isn't (that's just not true!)
Here is what I think.
  • Community
PMC has a friendly, active, welcoming and talented community which anyone would want to be a part of.
  • Content
PMC is full of the best resource packs, skins, blogs, forums, builds, mods and everything minecraft. It is the best minecraft source on the internet as the fantastic staff team keep it up to date, spam free and maintain the frequency of high quality posts on the site.
  • XP and Ranks
Not only do you get the chance to have diamonds, earn subscribers and read comments from awesome people, but you gain XP for all your posts. If they're popular you get even more! Your level is shown to everyone and offers new perks like using adf.ly links and playing on the PMC server! You can sort of feel superior to level 1's once you get past 20 but that's not it. The way that you unlock new ranks like "Dragonborn" and "Blockhead" is great, not to mention the prefix of "Expert", "Elite" or good old "New".
  • Simple, Easy to Use Layout
It's easy to find what you want on PMC. Everything is in different sections, has a great search engine and refining techniques and the pop real, if it's there, it's gotta be good! When I first started playing MC I thought how messy, complicated and challenging to use the sites were, for example the minecraftforums. Then I found PMC. I loved it on first site.

I agree with the majority of this. I do think that the stregint rules invoke most members to produce better quality work. That level of originality and dedication doesn't go unnoticed and I think it definitly plays a large role in why PMC is so popular.

Good blog, but not all of this is true. Some of the community is friendly, the other 15% are trolls and idiots who are just here to make people feel bad. Also, PMC is full of spam. The mods try their best to help this, but it really doesn't work. They take some away, but not all. And finally, I've seen stuff on the pop reel (usually in the blogging section) with 3 diamond yet it's a spamish thing made by a noob.

As I said, good blog, but maybe you can expand on it a little bit more.
