BlackFTW and I had a quick conversation about his issue (Well, more like him saying something and me agreeing), but this site's RP community is in shambles. First off, whenever someone makes an original idea for an RP, it's instantly shot down. I used to see dozens of clones of "Camp Half-Blood" and "Supernatural school." The well respected RP community (iHazRabiez, Gargoyle123, BlackRose0, BlackFTW, Pokemonboy100, Brink_, ETC) create original RPs, but most of them either fail, or gain enough steam to become one of the generic RPs. Secondly, the trolls. The trolls are some of the worst part. Forum Troll, who is quite decent, normally doesn't submit application's for RPs, but Troll apps are quite atrocious. Let me give you an example:

Backstory: benete was a normal boy then his family is murder and he go for revenge
Gender: shemale
Appearance: robert pattison

But sometimes, accomplished RPers like to submit a troll app, then the real app. My favorite one of these was iHazRabiez's "Cthulu" app. Although I can't find it, I remember it.

Backstory: Cthulu
Appearance: Cthulu

Another part about is that Black tried some new ideas, most of which he put efforts into the story. All of these were shot to the ground, and some atrocious RPs thrive. Those RPs had no efforts put into the story, and probably the worst generic story would be like "One day, you discovered your powers and were sent to Supernatural High/Camp Half Blood. Don't get me wrong, those RPs probably had a backstory with effort put into them, but the clones made by atrocious.
