Witch Encounters...WHY ;-;

Witches. So annoying, So, the first encounter is at night. I'm by a cave on my survival server, just killing skeletons for my farm. Suddenly, I see a witch. I hit her...him...it...? and get poisoned. I go to the nearest cave and hide to regen health. I go back out, and the witch is right there. I managed to kill it, and immediately went home. Next Minecraft day, I am mining. Placing torches, I am poisoned. I was excited at first: i thought it was a cave spider and I was close to an Abandoned Mineshaft. I turn and, of course, it is a witch. Hide, fight, rinse and repeat. I continue mining and luckily do not encounter more witches. I thought I would share this with you to see if you had similar failures or just wanted a bit of a laugh.
