Hey guys Diamonddozen here coming at you with another blog! I have decided to lose the crappy banners and pictures again. The reason: because I am a persuadable idiot that takes anyone's suggestions.
Introduction
Everyone here plays Minecraft. It's a known fact. Whether, you are making an adventure map, frolicking with pigs in the field, or just straight up surviving, everyone has that first block they collect into their inventory. That's what this blog is about. The First Block
Which Block is it?
It can be any block. I've known people to start with wood, like myself. However, there is that select few that like to start with dirt, or grass, or even leaves. It depends on how the player wants to tackle the Minecraft. Studies have shown that something you pick can show what type of person you are. I have created a spectrum:
Wood - This person is someone who likes to join the bandwagon. Contrary to popular belief this is not the block you have to start with.
Dirt - This person is someone who likes to start out with the basics. The easiest way to start out with a house is to make it out of dirt.
Grass - This person likes to collect food. I know when I am just starting out I like to have a reliable food source. One that I can just put around water and eat at my own pace.
Leaves - This person is different. They stay away from crowds. I like this kind of person.
What is the Importance of Your First Block?
Your first block can be the difference whether you thrive and obtain many diamonds or you fail and have to delete your world. So when choosing your block be prepared to accept the consequences.
