I said I would upload a new Minecraft But datapack when any option on my forum thread reached 25 votes, but that was 3 weeks ago and this one is winning by over 2 times every competitor with only 8 votes. I don't think many people will vote anymore (they barely did even when I first posted it), so I'm uploading this now.
This datapack functions similarly to lifesteal, but you will always have 10 hearts. Check the tab menu to see your lives. There is also a recipe to craft totems and a way to get more lives in singleplayer (Drop a diamond and a totem on the ground). The floor crafting will also work if you die with a totem and any stack with only 1 diamond.
