--- Intro ---

I felt like the minecraft day/night cycle was to quick so I make a datapack that stretches the 20 minute day/night cycle to be 24 hours of real time, with very little stuttering so can be used with shaders no problem.

--- Customizing the day/night cycle ---
  1. get the time in minutes you want the day/night to last
    (preferabably a multiple of 10)

  2. devide it by 20

  3. open the file datapacks\24HourDay\data\waj171\functions\ldn\start.mcfunction with notepad

  4. Change the amount of ticks on line 11 with the number you created before (default is 72t)

8 hours
12 hours

Nice! I set the ticks at 3.36t to get the same day length of Skyrim (1.12 hours) and it's working flawlessly so far, even using an Optifine resource pack which changes light intensity and color, plus custom sky, depending on game time.

thanks I'm glad you like it, made it with shaders in mind so should have minimal shadow stuttering, also you can only use whole tick numbers, so your 3.36t setting will be read as 3t

so you can either have 3t = 1hour or 4t = 1 hour and 20 min hope that helps :)

It does, thanks. Can confirm it works with shaders just ok, it's better than those time-altering Forge mods that always stuttered like crazy, while this pack works so smooth.
