This pack removes collision between passive mobs and should help reduce lag if you have lots of farms with tons of passive mobs crammed inside, constantly colliding. It can look a little funky because mobs will walk through each other and players cannot push mobs, but at the end of the day, it should reduce laggier passive mob farms.
