    For years, the combat system has been unbalanced, with axe damage being overpowered and unrealistic. For instance, wooden axes dealt the same damage as diamond swords, while stone axes were even more powerful than netherite swords. This new data pack aims to correct these imbalances, ensuring a fair fight between players using swords and those wielding axes.





    Axe damage values:





    Wooden Axe: 5


    Golden Axe: 5


    Stone Axe: 6


    Iron Axe: 7


    Diamond Axe: 8


    Netherite Axe: 9

    hey man could you do a version where the axes make the same amount of damage as their sword counterpart so netherite axe makes 8 etc

    bro lets think before we waist our time coding useless mods; the sword has less damage but significantly more attack speed and so it actually does more damage per second than the axe.

    Stone axes deal the same amount of damage as diamond axes in-game. It's really unbalanced

    The sword does have faster attack speed but not by much, most of the time the player with the axe would still win against the player with a sword. The damage values don't make sense. Like some the axes do the same damage for some reason and it's weird that a stone axe does more damage then a netherite sword.
