Better Sniffers expands the loot that sniffers can sniff out from the ground. This loot can range from more foliage to a very rare chance of finding ancient debris in the nether. They can also now dig up more blocks than just dirt and its variants. Some items can only be discovered by them in certain biomes, so make sure to travel around and see what treasure awaits you!

Sniffers now also spawn naturally in villages to make finding them less tedious. Expect to find 0-3 sniffers in a single village.

installation guide:

go to your saves folder (located at C:\Users(your name)\AppData\Roaming.minecraft\saves on Windows), put the zipped file in the data packs folder, and either restart your world or execute /reload

  • added wolf armor and armadillo scutes to the loot table (in forest biomes and savannah/badland biomes respectively)

    It would be great if sniffers could find pottery sherds

    they are actually able to dig up the "snort" pottery sherd (depicting a sniffer) regardless of the biome with this :)
