Speed up the early game with a datapack that improves the items inside the bonus chest.

The items are:
  • An enchanted stone/golden axe
  • An enchanted stone/golden pickaxe
  • A combat item (e.g. enchanted sword, shield, enchanted bow)
  • Food items (e.g. bread, beef, golden apple)
  • Wood items (e.g. planks, or logs)
  • Caving items (e.g. torches, iron pickaxe)
  • An exploration item (e.g. exploration map, saddle, fire resistance potion)
  • A utility block (e.g. furnace, crafting table, bed)
  • Raw material items (coal, cobblestone, iron ingot)
For a more detailed item list, look at the chance distribution.

Chance Distribution
Formulas
factor = weight / total weight
chance = 1 - ((1 - factor) ^ rolls)
average per chest (linear) = factor * (min + max) / 2 * rollsAll random amounts are linear and can, therefore, be calculated with (min + max) / 2

Instructions for 1.16 and higher
1. Enable the bonus chest (More World Options... -> Bonus Chest)
2. Add and enable the Better Bonus Chest datapack
3. Create New World

1. Enable the bonus chest (More World Options... -> Bonus Chest)
2. Create New World
2. Add the datapack to the world
3. Reload the world or run /reload (if cheats are enabled)
4. Open the bonus chest
