Introduction:
This datapack aims to improve the Iron Golem in minecraft and it supports versions from 1.16.2 to 1.21.11.Iron Golem's New Stats:

- Attack Damage ⚔️: Then=15 (7.5 hearts), Now=25 (12.5 hearts)
- Better Range 👁: When a villager is in danger, Iron Golem can detect it from 64 blocks away.
- When Angry 😤: Every second, there is a 50% chance that Iron Golem can sprint.
- Upon attack 👊: Golem can disable player shields just like how an axe does.

- Attack Damage ⚔️: Then=15 (7.5 hearts), Now=30 (15 hearts)
- Better Range 👁: When a player is in danger, Player Created Golem can detect it from 64 blocks away.
- When Angry 😤: Every second, there is a 50% chance that Iron Golem can sprint.
- Upon attack 👊: Golem can disable player shields just like how an axe does. (Well, only if it ever attacks player.)

- Golem disable shields : When Enabled, iron golems will become capable of disabling shields. This only affects newly spawned golems.
/function uninstall:better_golemsUninstalls the datapack
Pros:
- Iron Golem can now easily take down a zombie horde (hordes naturally occurs in minecraft).
- Iron Golem can now survive 3-4 raids without dying.
- The chance of an Iron Golem to one hit kill a zombie is 80% now, it was around 20% before.
- Iron Golem can protect villager from 64 blocks away.
- Player Created Golem can protect player from 64 blocks away.
- Even if you start a fight with normal Iron Golem, Player Created Golem will help you defeat that normal Iron Golem.
Cons:
- Its now harder to kill an iron golem for getting iron. E.g:- To kill an Iron Golem with Stone Sword, 25 critical hits are required from a Stone Sword instead of 16.

Have something to say?
Iron Golems Attack Creepers Datapack link: www.planetminecraft.com/data-pack/iron-golems-attack-creepers/
The reason I plan to not inject it, is your datapack only works on version 1.21.9+ and it's my standard to keep all the versions of my datapack exactly the same and there shall be no variation with features at all (inter-versions).
Conclusion: Once I am done testing it, I will message you on discord about what can be done next.
And no, it is not possible to make iron golems attack creepers. Even when iron golem is forced to attack creeper via code, it just doesn't work. The function of iron golem attacking a creeper is just not built into minecraft.
I will update my datapack to 1.21.5, once the final minecraft version releases.
Edit: It is released. Enjoy :)
Edit: one thing i do want or recommend is player created golems are atleast tamed where they teleport or very much atleast follow since id love to have a golem on my adventures which is nice :D
Also, the fact is, carrying golems to your adventures makes Minecraft too easy to play. This datapack already buffs the iron golem to its max limit and also adds special enemy detection. I don't think that, there is anything to add.
I will still try to explore the ways to create a tamed golem.
