Chosen Architect created this pack originally. But stopped updating it i guess. I went ahead and updated a few of the files and make it compatible with 1.18. Tested and works great on my personal servers.


Things to note!



the way this datapack works is that it checks for xp orbs near the player, kills the orb based on size then awards xp levels to said player.



This reduces lag, but it also reduces the efficiency of xp rates. Because the orbs come in a few different sizes. Each size has a range of xp that it can award the player. For example, a size 7 orb can give between 149-306 experience points to the player. This data pack only checks for that size 7 orb and awards a straight amount of xp, not a range.



To balance this, i've set the different sizes or orbs to give on the higher side of the xp range. You'll see some loss of efficiency when you start to get into oversized farms. For example if you afk and wind up with 300 mobs and kill them all, while you will empty the xp 10x faster, you'll also lose a bit of the max xp that you could've had if you waited the normal amount of time. It's a small trade off. And i mean very small, again because i balance the xp towards the higher end. You will also see a slight increase in xp awarded for smaller things like your average mob drop etc.



I did delete the files for the largest orbs which are seen in furnace xp farms. This is because the minimum value is 2477 xp points and the max is almost 33,000. And there's just no good balance with a range like that. So to keep that fair, it's removed.
